BeanBean/ Papabean Map Studio
« on: October 29, 2015, 10:52:12 am »
So yeah....hello everyone  ;D My Name is Sintra also known as Papa Bean or TheMapMaker.  I have been holding back some of these maps I guess cause I am shy about them.  If  you would like to have the downloads for any of these maps you need to do several things first.  One add me on steam please.  Two I would like to know your intentions with my maps.  For me, I put alot of time in not just the maps you see here but all of my maps that I have.  I consider them Art and with that being said I believe that Art should be for all however.....I need to be sure that you actually care about the maps rather than just to have them and store them for a rainy day.  I want to be able to see the maps in use! Thirdly add me again hahaha or pm on here I always love to hear feedback :) Much of my art is inspired by previous mapmakers such as Eyeballshot (I will be referencing him since he was my mentor) as well as many others.  So without further delay I present just a glimpse of what I consider my art collection!  Please Enjoy and feel free to add me on steam if you wish to obtain one of these maps!

Battle of Hoth
Spoiler
The Assault on Hoth.  This map is a siege map designed by one of my mentors, eyeballshot, his original desgin (on Taleworlds) was meant for deathmatch.  I took the concept and expanded it.  I made the map larger, I put in more obstacles for the defenders to work with as well as attackers.  Although explosives are disabled it gives the defenders some hope as the Empire assaults the hidden rebel base.  http://prnt.sc/8wl3iu

Siege of Toulon (revamped)
Spoiler
I am sorry to say but I tend to think about timing when it comes to sieges.  I know. Its odd.  But lets be real here when it takes you longer than a minute to row a damn boat to the shore at least for me I am already done with the map.  What I took the liberty of doing was I added in a dock to make the ease of troop movement much smoother.  I kept the arty position (attackers) as they were which is on the ship.  It seemed only fair since the time to get to the fort was reduced significantly.  However defenders, if defended well enough, shouldn't have any issues with defending this fort.  I have raised the front walls as well as made them slightly thicker.  I also added several swivel cannons to allow for the mowing down of the waves of attackers from the docked ship.  While keeping the original theme still in the map I made it just a tad bit more enjoyable for all with some simple fixes and additions here and there.

Line battle Maps

Minden Day (papabeans revamped version)
Spoiler
I do enjoy Linebattles.  Sadly though many events have used many of the maps that have been in cycle on the servers.  This is one of the many maps that I have refitted and redone to make it more appealing to people to play on.  I took out the big fort in the background, I put the spawn points for each side on separate parts of the map.  I took away the arty but left the entrenchments and what not that the arty was surrounded by.  This map has the explosive crates disabled and has the spawn of arty enabled.  For this map it is the job of the regiments to work together to navigate the town and position themselves in a way that will either take the town or lead to the withdraw of the troops.

Countryside Day
Spoiler
I do miss the old linebattles.  You know the ones that had the really big maps with the rolling hills.  It also had some houses or farms on it to give it some life, but not to much life!  This map is designed for battle!  Each side spawns on opposite sides of the map, the terrain allows for arty, cav, and skrims to have all the advantages and disadvantages that they can find.  Whether using buildings as cover or using the hills for the arty advantage. But we cant forget that the line infantry have to place themselves in the right position otherwise it could be a bloody day for them!

This is just a glimpse of the maps that I have made, collected, and reedited.  I have over 28 custom made maps! But if you wish to see more feel free to add me on steam https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198161599312/

That Hoth map actually looks neat!

Love the AT-ATs. I can see you've really put love into this map which is wonderful to see! :)
