People might want to check out the TaleWorlds forum; a nice forumite named Hirovard went to the event and made a video, from which he has already posted several stills. He also got a photo with Lust! I think he is planning to upload the video, whether it will be tonight or not I don't know.

Here is a link to the relevant thread for those who don't often visit: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,249537.26985.html

I checked the TaleWorlds forum again and realised Captain Lust had stated something earlier; as far as he knows, he says, there will be a 20 minute slot for Bannerlord in the livestream. So we certainly won't see all of the footage live, but he also said the whole thing was going to be recorded and we would see it at a later date, probably one or two weeks afterwards.

@Sinjide; I wouldn't worry about the console port, I am not sure it has even been confirmed for Bannerlord. As I remember it, the brief mentions it had in interviews said that they were considering it,  though they have said Warband is definitely going to be on Xbox and PS4. Also Armagan has stated that if Bannerlord is ported to consoles it will be after the PC release of the game and development will not be influenced by the console port.

Some of you may already know that Bannerlord is one of the games being demonstrated at the PC Gamer Weekender in a couple of days. What you may not know is that at 16:00 GMT on the Sunday, there will apparently be a live stream of the Bannerlord presentation:

I don't know whether all of it will be shown or whether it will cover other games as well during the 1 hour slot that Bannerlord has, but we will be able to see something of the presentation which includes 40 minutes of live gameplay.

EDIT: whilst the PC Gamer live stream does start at 13:00, Bannerlord's slot in this stream is scheduled to start at 16:00.

Here are some snapshots of the console version (very large, you have been warned):

There was mention of Warband being ready for Playstation in the info that you linked, nothing about development of Bannerlord for consoles. Was it actually written in the Turkish magazine that these are console screenshots? In any case, they look great, thanks for posting them. The version here is higher res than the one I've seen posted at Taleworlds, and you can really see the horse bard better. I love the way that lamellar looks! By the way, someone on Taleworlds forum said that the round hilt of that Khuzait sword was of Chinese origin and spread across the steppe of Central Asia, so that explains the hilt.

And as such it is sad to see that most developers have stopped implementing split-screen multiplayer in games. Such a damn shame.

Indeed, I remember split screen multiplayer fondly, from games like Lotus Turbo Challenge 3 on the Amiga back in the early 1990s, to the demo of Serious Sam on PC a decade later. Playing over the internet or even over a LAN in different rooms isn't the same.

Don't know where else to put this  :-[  But here it is nonetheless

Off Topic would probably be the best place, but maybe an admin will move it. Still, the important thing is the Squirrel community get to join in the drooling and OMGing  ;)

There are more videos in the main Bannerlord thread at TW by the way. Looks great doesn't it?

Lets hope they add in lines that don't bounce off each other like they showed in the trailer, keeping shoulder to shoulder would be a pain.

I assume you are talking about the bit at the start of the siege section, about 1 minute into the video? Good point, though I imagine that only happens to NPCs as a way of preventing the player being trapped in SP (such as on a cramped castle wall). There is no reason to add it in MP and besides, how would the game decide which player gets nudged?

I think what ISIS is doing is ok because I believe in self determination for all peoples so if they want a backwards Stone Age country then let them the west shouldn't get involved I also believe in freedom of speech to defend ISIS

Obviously you were being provocative for its own sake, but your stated reason for supposedly supporting ISIS doesn't make sense. They are determining a way of life for other people, which isn't self determination.

Servers / Re: 84e Regiment Public Siege Server [84e_NW_Siege]

It's irritating for me that people have migrated away from 84e for these new servers. The maps on these servers show just how hard it is to make balanced maps that can be won and enjoyed on attack and defence, something which all of 84e's maps can boast. Let's hope the new maps on 84e get the playerbase back.

I was wondering if any of the old forts will be revisited? I only ask because Fort Freidrich (fort 16, desert map) has gone from being slightly unbalanced in favour of the attackers to considerably in favour of the attackers. Attackers having the mortar means the inner fort is a death trap, which means holding the outer fort for as long as possible is very important for the defenders, which is fair enough. However, recently I have seen attackers climbing the hill to the inner fort. I am not sure if this used to be possible, but it certainly is now and is being used enthusiastically. Apart from being unrealistic that people could climb such a steep, rocky slope with a weapon in hand, the height of the walls makes it very hard to look down at the climbers, so the defenders cannot effectively defend the inner fort against such an attack when it should be simple. They should not have to man it in the first place as long as the outer fort is still intact.

Complaint/ban request for BOHEMUND and Toshiro Mifune

Date of offence: 18th January, late evening GMT (sorry cannot be more specific)
Nature of offence: Repeated racist remarks designed to get peoples' attention

A few screenshots now follow as evidence

First, Bohemund trying to be witty:

Then when I advise him to change his behaviour he asks me if I 'lift', which I assume is a parody of macho scorn, but then he makes a racist rage comment a few seconds later  ;D:

More 'wit':

Then Toshiro takes over the racism baton:

I know they are not the only culprits, as even these screenshots show there were others jumping on the bandwagon with edgy remarks about Jews in particular, but I think it needs punishing wherever possible. I am sure that making these sort of taboo remarks seems witty and harmless to these people and their friends, but think for a second about anyone with brown skin who plays this game. Asking them to put up with seeing all the racist drivel just because it is a 'joke' to the people writing it is not reasonable, and reinforces negative feelings about skin colour. Writing things on the internet puts it in the public domain, and we are all obliged to take that into account; it is not like you are only communicating with your friends where no one will be offended.

Anyone know why I get auto kicked as soon as a round starts? What happens is, I join a server (such as this one), inevitably a round is already underway and so I select a troop and wait. Just as the next round is about to start, I am kicked to the server list and a message appears saying I was auto kicked for cheating. I made sure I chose a proper mod troop, not a NW one, and others were already using the same troop that I selected. Thanks in advance for any help.
