Historical Research Question - British Army Medal Roll
« on: January 15, 2015, 03:18:46 am »
I figure you guys might be the best people to ask regarding a research question I have

Is there any key or list of notation marks anywhere I can use to decipher some of the marks in these images? I'm also curious what the No. column represents (obviously number, but what does the number signify)?

The top one seems to be list of battles, with the names of soldiers and the marks identifying if they were present at said batle or not.

Yeah true.
Arminius/Dennis Bergkamp/Tristan Bouvier/J.P. ...

All my life I’ve been fearful of defeat. But now that it has come it’s not near as terrible as I’d expected. The sun still shines, water still tastes good…glory is all well and good but life is enough, nay?
