Falaise Gap event, post event photo. June 19-21, 2015

I actually met Munk for the first time at this event, it's good to see my fellow FSE forumites from time to time at events and socialize in person. I reenact an attached sturmpionier to the 29.SS Pz.Gren.Reg. in the 12.SS Pz.D. "Hitlerjugend." While I am not in kit, this was a quick shot I had taken of me. I asked people on the Facebook Living History group to caption this, and so many said this looks like I'm a captured SS trooper being photographed by an American war correspondent before I get executed, haha. What do you guys think? I decolorized the photo then recolorized it for that "authentic photo" look.

There's actually a handful of partisan units in the NE US. One of the largest are the "Factory Worker Brigade;" They just went to Newville, PA "Ostfront" event last year in attendance with 24. The unit I am now in captured them and warcrimed them, haha. Executions for all partisan schwein.

Just went to a pretty cool Falaise Gap/Normandie '44 event this weekend, actually got to meet Munk for the first time, was pretty cool. I only took these three pics, though...

This picture of me I had taken of me at the end of the event. I captioned it like this:
"A disheveled landser of the sturmpionier tries to recuperate from weeks of constant fighting and field work."

At the same time though, it could also be like I was captured, since I'm stripped down of gear and "casual." Been having people tell me it looks like an original photo and shit too... Pretty damn awesome. I'm actually a 12thSS attached Sturmpionier, and my gear was rigged with pionier equipment bags and ruck.

Lol, that's just my "period correct" haircut grown in... The hair that falls to the side stay super long and get slicked back on my head with pomade...

You're never allowed to wear it like an emo - always pomade plox. Also I an't see a proper "Scheitel". Neither the sides are shaved proberly

Stripped my tunic of "Deutschland" insignia's... Temporarily rerolling 12.SS-HJ until the end of this year. Will be switching to Heer and joining the Sicherungs-Regiment 195, which is a "rear-guard security" troop.

The sadness of a barebones tunic...

What we do here, after a battle, spectators (mostly kids) will storm the field and try find shells for souvnier, it has been successful that way. Win-Win, field is clean and children are happy.

This... Every public event I go to there are kids trying to pick up shells off the ground.

Much appreciated, friend. I've been working hard to get where I am, and still have another 50 pounds to go until I get to "average/healthy weight" for my height.
