The "Bundesländer Turnier 2022/23" is the 4th edition (3rd in recent years) of the most prestigious german groupfighting tournament. The tournament is a regional tournament, with players representing their very own region. This usually leads to very interesting teams and constellations making it an epic tournament. This year it was decided that we wanna invite a guest nation to our community tournament and the decision fell to The Netherlands.
What does the tournament offer? The "Bundesländer Turnier" does offer a chance to play alongside players of your own region, fighting for a very prestigious title. The format does bring a chance for both highly active as well as part-time players of every skill gap to compete in an interesting situation. Due to the heterogeneous teams, it is possible for everybody to find a comfort zone and receive as much playtime as they wish.
What modus is gonna be played? It is gonna be a two-stage tournament. Starting with a group stage, consisting of 3 or 4 matches, a knock-out stage is gonna decide the final outcome. The best 4 teams of the group stage are gonna participate in the title chase.
How are Dutch Players gonna be involved? It is planned that The Netherlands will form 2 or 3 teams (depending on several things) who are gonna normally play in the tournament. The teams will be split and decided based on the region of your players. A coalition of provinces is possible and logical. BUT an NWWC-like team is not intended. Under any circumstances, a regional split will be made.
The tournament will be featured by hypecontent. Previews, Interviews, articles, and a Team of the Season are gonna be released, both in english and german language.
1. Proper behavior is expected. Insults, racism, or discrimination can lead to exclusion of single matches or the whole tournament.
1.2. The referee can disallow all-chat for everybody, a team or a single player.
2. The matches are gonna be played in the following distances:
2.1 Group-Stage: bo20, draw at 10-10
2.2 Play-Offs: ft15
2.2.1 The Play-Off ties are gonna be decided in bo3 whole matches.
3. The matches have to be played on official servers, assigned by the host.
4. A referee can be present, but a team captain must be present
5. Only line infantry, no guards, lights, or marines.
6. Melee Speed is set to medium
7. The played nation is decided by the first named team of the tie.
8. The musket is the only allowed weapon
9. A round starts after both captains typed "r" and the admin wrote "Go"
10. The minimum size of matches is 5v5, but:
10.1. If one team is unable to field 5, a 4v4 is gonna be played.
10.2 6v6, 7v7, and more are all possible. No maximum number of players per game.
11. Team rosters gotta be between 5 and 10 people
12. Matchweeks are to be followed strictly
12.1 If captains can't agree on a date, the match will be played Monday 8 GMT of the following week.
Teams: A Team consists of players from a province. Coalitions of provinces are wanted and encouraged, but only if a province is not able to field a team on its own. Everybody will be able to compete, we will find solutions!
The group stage will last for 3 or 4 weeks. Depending on the number of teams. Only the best 4 teams will play in the knock-out stage for an additional 2 weeks.
