As I dreamed, the 21st Regiment of Foot is still alive! It's been over a year since we've began the regiment. We've gone through retirements in our chain of command like crazy and it's still holding together! First we began with:
Colonel Eireman
Lieutenant Colonel Dimefan
Sergeant Major Thomas
Soon Dimefan and Thomas decided to move on from the 21st and that's where I stepped in as the Executive Officer along side Colonel Eireman! We've gone through alot of changes from the beginning, we've tested different ideas and they've failed, even so badly we lost a chunk of members. We gave the idea of starting Company's, Company A (Lead by Colour Serjeant Nell/Nami at the time) and Company B (Lead by Colour Serjeant Valarr, soon Ensign). Though it was a fun idea, it didn't last long due to some fighting and disagreements between the two Company's so we saw best to rid of the Company's. We've gone through the different Detachments of Cavalry, Skirmishers and Artillery, but so far, Artillery is still hanging on with some difficulty.
After some time passed through my time up top, I was ready to move on to my Military Career in real life and go through the United States Marine Corps Bootcamp and would end up graduating
At the time, we had to find a new leader to replace me before my retirement came upon me. We looked carefully. There were many great options to choose from including, but not limited to: Ensign Valarr and Staff Sergeant Wolfkin. We ended up choosing Wolfkin as Valarr would soon retire along side me.
Lieutenant Colonel Wolfkin was an amazing choice for us. He showed dedication and had a great mindset to replace me. He has the ideas and dedication to put the ideas to work. He's been apart of the community nearly since the start with me. But soon Colonel Eireman would decide to step down as well and retire. That's when Wolfkin would take his place as Colonel and now, Lieutenant Colonel Funnyfreak, his very own brother, would take his place. Together, along with many very other dedicated members of the 21st, they've kept it alive.
I never have personally seen a regiment continue like this where its gone through Commanding and Executive Officers retiring and having another step up and continue it. It makes me feel great that people are so dedicated to something. Luckily, we have those type of people in the Mount & Blade Community!
Now I must say, I'm happy with how everything has turned out, I'm glad the Mount & Blade Community is so thick with history between its players. And you must agree that, whether there are fights between regiments and disagreements between the Chain of Commands, the hatred towards once person, as well as the amazing fights that happen in these events that are very well ran by all of you! It keeps this Community running!
Thank you all for being great people,
Happy Holidays!
