North American 5v5 Groupfighting League

Introduction

Introducing the third season of the Gold 5v5 League. The league is making a comeback after taking a 3 year hiatus. Both of the previous seasons were successful and, I plan on having the third installation of this be successful too. Season 3 will be better in many ways, improvements include: a larger starting pool, a draft system, streamed matches and much more. This year I expect some troubles with the release of bannerlord and the state of the community, however this possible and will be an exceptional year. Previous seasons have had the FKMYASS team (lead by Maccle) and LG team (lead by Russianfury) claim the "trophy". Let's see who can claim it this year.

Information & Rules

The league will be 5 weeks long with each team participating in a bo3 series. Games will be played at any time, any day in the week so long as there is a ref (or myself) present on the server. Melee speed will be set to fastest and it will be hosted on one of our own private servers with 3 custom groupfighting maps, made by Windflower. Rounds will also be a bo30 (First to 16 wins, 15-15 tie will result in a bo6 overtime). The teams have been drafted already and are shown below. At the end of the regular season, the top 4 seeds will participate in a single elimination championship (tbd fully) 

Rules

1. No shooting

2. Reserves must watch the game (unless swapping registered members out - ref's responsibility to check roster)

3. Both teams may only have 5 people on it (if a player drops wait for him, have someone fill his spot or reorganize the match)

4. Only line infantry can be used

5. Only muskets and rankers may be used

6. No fists

7. No jump attacks

8. You may not play under ANY alias besides the one you signed up for

9. You may not pass the white line until both sides are ready

10. No invites may be allowed from other teams

11. Captains must be added into the Gold Groupfighting League Groupchat

12. Deadlines may be extended if requested for a special circumstance, otherwise the game will count as a loss for the team that can not make it

13. All inactivity must be reported to me before the team goes active (so something can be figured out beforehand)

14. Both team captains must try to contact a ref and try to select a time and date to play their matches.

15. Matches must be announced on this thread with the date, time and whether or not they have a ref attending the match yet.

16. All team members must play/spectate with their correct tags on

17. All captains must add me on steam

18. Games must be played on our server (unless for a special reason the ref doesnt have the admin pw but has his own server or a server to go to)

Updates:

Timeout Rules: Each team will get 2 timeouts a match, each one will last, at most, a minute and 30 seconds. At the end of the timeout each team must be ready to go by typing "R".
Map Change Timing Rules: The maximum amount of time between each match will be 5 minutes.

Overtime
Max of 1 Bo6 OT (3-3 tie, 4 round wins to win)
3-3 Tiebreaker will be a ft4 (4 round wins to win, no ties after)
Each team will get 1 30 second timeout each OT period (so one 30 second timeout during the Bo6 and one during the ft4 period)

General Rules:
Officially putting this in writing, but both teams will have to be ready (R is typed) by 59:30. This'll give time for substitutions to happen and strats to be called without taking too long. Most games have been proceeding like this anyways.
Rosters will be 100% deadlocked by the end of Round 5. Meaning that if you have an inactive player in the playoffs, then you won't be able to swap that person out for a free agent.
Each round will last a maximum of 5 minutes.

2. Try to schedule with teams that would like to play, if you may potentially miss a match than contact another referee.

3. Participate in the Gold Groupfighting League Group Chat

4. Do not have any bias towards ANY participating team

5. Registered referees who are also on teams may not ref the match that their team is playing on

6. Referees must try to check the thread/group chat daily.

7. Try to give a days notice if you are unable to ref a game you signed up for.

8. Matches must be played ONLY on the groupfighting map setup for this league.

9. Enforce all rules as stated above

Competitive NA Events/Tournaments / gold gf league season 3?

Trying to garner some information about the community before I get all of the specifics done. Bannerlord has reignited my interest in NW and by the looks of things, NA is hurting real bad when it comes to the community scene. About a month ago was the last competitive event, maybe even the "last" one. However, private servers in Bannerlord are far away, and even then we might not get NW for bannerlord. So, I believe that —if there is enough interest— we need to keep it alive. If I do host this and it is successful, then I plan on contributing 250$ to a prize-pool and streaming any match that I can get ahold of. Both of my last seasons were pretty successful, however I think this season would be pretty hard to do. So i'm planning on making some changes, such as smaller teams, less teams and less matches (if thats what people vote for). The last time I tried to do this was in 2018 and it did not work, there was simply not enough interest, so i'm hoping this time is different. North American 5v5 Groupfighting League

Introduction

The Gold 5v5 NA groupfighting league was created in order to provide a successful and fun Groupfighting experience for North Americans who can not participate successfully in EU Leagues (due to ping). We have selected to do a simple 5v5 groupfighting league due to the fact that it will most likely be easier to manage, quicker and more fun to play. We hope that in by creating a successful GF league we can spark up more tournaments in the NA scene (since its pretty dead atm). Please, get some mates together and join us if you love to groupfight and would like to participate in a tournament!

Information & Rules

The league will last anywhere from a couple weeks to a month, depending on how many times sign up. Games will be played at any time, any day in the week so long as there is a ref (or myself) present on the server. Melee speed will be set to fastest and it will be hosted on one of our own private servers with a custom Groupfighting map. Rounds will also be a best of 20 (11=win 10-10=tie). Matches will begin in a month on January 6th due to the holidays and my inactivity. Teams are allowed to have a maximum of 3 reserves (teams can be 8 in size).

Been really bored recently and judging by the tournaments hosted right now it seems like this would be a good time to host this again. I have a good bit of time to do this but i'd still need a good wingman just in case i'm busy and can't be somewhere like season 2.

This time would be alot better though and there would be a prize pool

Comment if you'd be interested/if you would be able to muster an active team together.

Welcome           Welcome to the 23e Infanterie thread. We are a new regiment based off of experienced leaders, disciplined NCOs and veteran soldats. The regiment is an accepting community that takes pride in bettering new players and keeping the game interesting for the old ones. We show absolute discipline and respect on and off the battlefield, maintaining the reputation as a regiment consisting of gentlemen. We do take linebattles and trainings seriously; however, the group does have fun working together in a professional manner on the battlefield. We encourage our members to participate in other games outside of Napoleonic Wars in order to ensure the family atmosphere we strive to provide to our members. History The 23e Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne was formed in the year 1636, and was under the name of "Royal Infanterie". Nearly 30 years later, in 1663, it was allowed the distinction "Regiment du Roi". Only prestigious regiments were allowed to carry that name, and the origins of the 23e were the first to carry the distinction. In 1971, the regiment is finally named to "23e Regiment d'Infanterie", sign of the upcoming revolution. The regiment took part in many skirmishes and small battles, but few major battles. The regiment stood by the winners at Wargram and Lützen. But was mostly active in the early Rhein campaign in 1800, where the regiment excelled in every french battle won. For example, in Engen, Stockach, Moeskirch and Hohenlinden. The Regiment then took part in the italian campaign, under Masséna's orders, at Caldiero. The 23e has also had many prestigious Colonels like Albert-François Deriot in 1802, or Joesph Latour in 1810. Both became "Général de Brigade" after serving in the 23e. Steam

Technical Support / Odd "FPS" issue

My problem is pretty weird, my FPS will be over 60+ frames yet it will feel like it is 20ish frames and overall feel sluggish however im not microstuttering and turning it to directx 7 did not fix it. It's weird though because it happened overnight. I verifed game cache too and uninstalled the mod i was using, not sure what else to do.

FKMYASS was the first team to sign up in the tournament and was overall the most active team in the entire tournament. On top of that they were completely undefeated and ended the season 9-0-0. Their closest game was 11-9 vs Mercarmy (#6) and Nignoggers (#5) and their biggest blowout was 182 vs the HarambeTouch (#9) and they were also able to win a total of 129 rounds. FKMYASS is the definition of teamwork, successfully shining their ability to work together and not only that, but also their own personal skill. This win was indeed, well deserved. Congratulations to FKMYASS!

Reeee was the #2 team in the entire league and finished 7-0-1 only to be defeated by FKMYASS 14-6 in the 4th week. Despite this Reee proved themselves time and time again to be one of the strongest teams in the tournament. Their closest game(s) were against Aiur(#3), Mercarmy(#6), HarambeTouch (#9) and Nignoggers(#5) with a score of 12-8 and their biggest blowout game was 19-1 vs the League of Titans (#10) and they finished the season with a total of 113 rounds won. Congrats to Reeee for finishing in second place!

Reflections

The tournament in my eyes was pretty successful. Not all of the games, but atleast the majority of games had been played and gave us a rough estimate of who placed where and whatnot. Nobody gave me any serious or legitimate problems and the matches themselves were smooth as they could be. I had a blast hosting this and i am honored to have had such positive responses from it. North American 5v5 Groupfighting League



Introduction

The Gold 5v5 NA groupfighting league was created in order to provide a successful and fun Groupfighting experience for Northern Americans who can not participate successfully in EU Leagues (due to ping). We have selected to do a simple 5v5 groupfighting league due to the fact that it will most likely be easier to manage, quicker and more fun to play. We hope that in by creating a successful GF league we can spark up more tournaments in the NA scene (since its pretty dead atm). Please, get some mates together and join us if you love to groupfight and would like to participate in a tournament!

Information & Rules

The league will last around 5 weeks, 2 matches will be played every week. Games will be played at any time, any day in the week so long as there is a ref (or myself) present on the server. Melee speed will be set to fastest and it will be hosted on one of our own private servers with a custom Groupfighting map. Rounds will also be a best of 20 (11=win 10-10=tie). It will be a goal to have a maximum of 10 teams to play, however if it is not possible then something will be worked out. Matches will begin 1 week after teams are filled. Teams are allowed to have a maximum of 3 reserves (teams can be 8 in size).

2. Reserves must watch the game (unless swapping registered members out - ref's responsibility to check roster)

3. Both teams may only have 5 people on it (if a player drops wait for him, have someone fill his spot or reorganize the match)

4. Only line infantry can be used

5. Only muskets and rankers may be used

6. No fists

7. No jump attacks

8. You may not play under ANY alias besides the one you signed up for

9. You may not pass the white line until both sides are ready

10. No invites may be allowed from other teams

11. Leaders and CO-Leaders must be registered into the Gold Groupfighting League steam group

12. Deadlines may be extended if requested for a special circumstance, otherwise the game will count as a loss for the team that can not make it

13. All inactivity must be reported to me before the team goes active (so something can be figured out beforehand)

14. Both team leaders must try to contact a ref and try to select a time and date to play their matches

15. Matches must be announced on this thread with the date, time and whether or not they have a ref attending the match yet.

16. All team members must play/spectate with their correct tags on

17. All leaders and co-leaders must add me on steam

18. All 20 rounds must be played

19. Games must be played on our server (unless for a special reason the ref doesnt have the admin pw but has his own server or a server to go to)

2. Try to schedule with teams that would like to play, if you may potentially miss a match than contact another referee.

3. Enforce all rules as stated above

4. Join the Gold Groupfighting league steam group

5. Do not have any bias towards ANY participating team

6. Registered referees who are also on teams may not ref the match that their team is playing on

7. Referees must try to check the thread/group daily.

8. Try to give a days notice if you are unable to ref a game you signed up for.
