87th Royal Irish Fusiliers

The 87th Royal Irish Fusiliers a veteran regiment from the Napoleonic wars lived on through the Anglo-Zulu War, posted in India throughout the war, the regiment fought off mostly Indian rebels, we will bring our men from our NW unit to events in the Anglo-Zulu war modification.

Organisation and ranks

The 87th Royal Irish Fusiliers dates back to the days of MM_Prussia_5 This was the mod of MM which had the dodgy experimental artillery. Once MM_Russia_3 came out the 29th Horse Artillery was born, one of the finest artillery regiments of the Mount and Musket era! The regiment grew and was reborn as the 87th Royal Irish Fusiliers.

The 87th is a Line Infantry unit which focus on fast paced line formations, crisp volleys and painful bayonet charges. Trainings focus on bettering our skills, having fun and every now and then getting drunk, that's right the 87th has regimental drunk nights which take place on Friday trainings and line battles, these have been very interesting events. Discipline is a must in the regiment, the commanding officer will kill you as much as look at you and kick your remains out the door without the blink of an eye, but having fun and of course your real life is also a priority.

If your interested in joining a disciplined, yet laid back group of individuals, head below to see how you can enlist in the 87th Royal Irish Fusiliers.

Rank Structure

Commissioned  Officers
Lt. Col - Lieutenant Colonel -- Unit Officer Commanding
Maj. - Major -- Unit second Officer Commanding
Capt. - Capitan -- Company Commander
Lt. - Lieutenant -- Company Officer
RE-Lt. - Royal Engineer Lieutenant -- Royal Engineer Detachment commander.
Ens - Ensign -- Entry rank of Officer, Company Officer

Warrant Officers
RSM - Regimental/Battalion Serjeant Major -- The Serjeant Major's job is to keep the unit running when the officers aren't looking, he cracks down on discipline and inspects the parade, he can skin officers alive and get away with it, upsetting the man with four chevrons on his arm is a poor decision.

Non-Commissioned Officers
CSjt. - Colour Serjeant -- The Colour Serjeant is the senior Serjeant in the unit, he makes sure the men are ready for parade and gets the new recruits through boot camp, alive luckily.
Sjt. - Serjeant -- Senior Rank and Infantry Platoon leader along with the Lieutenant.
Cpl. - Corporal -- First rank of leadership, will be tasked to take a class at training.
LCpl. - Lance Corporal  -- First rank of seniority, awarded to members who can show there use for the unit.

Enlisted Men
Fus. - Fusilier -- The Distinguished enlisted rank of the regiment, a Fusilier must make good use of their weapon in ranged and close combat at all times.
Rgl. - Regular -- Third rank, gained when a Private shows good attendance and performs well in training and battles.
Pte. - Private -- Second rank and main of the regiment. Achieved after passing out from Recruit phase.
Rct. - Recruit -- First rank given to all members, only once the recruit can show his worth can he be advanced to Private.

Artillery Section
Bdr. - Bombardier -- Equivalent to a Corporal, the Bombardier acts as the battery commander and leads the Artillery section in battle.
LBdr. - Lance Bombardier -- Equivalent to a Lance Corporal, the Lance Bombardiers act as a gun commander in the section.
MGnr - Master Gunner -- The Senior Gunner of the section, The master Gunner is expected to know how to utilized and achieve great accuracy with every artillery piece.
Gnr. - Gunner -- The gunner is the main rank of the Artillery section, these men act as general crew of the artillery guns but know how to use every type of artillery there is.
