In the 51st we were taught that bullet drop is minimal, so unless you are firing at extraordinarily long distances just aim for the enemy's sternum (middle of the chest.)

I have always been under the assumption (perhaps wrongly) that getting shot in the limbs do a bit less damage than the chest (or head, obviously.)

From what I understand, no. The map editor for this mod requires each user to buy his own license, so unless you buy yourself(some guys in the community will surely) you can't create maps.

I'm not sure if this will necessarily be the case.  Look the Unity Pro vs Unity Free features--when it comes to straight coding or scene creation the two are largely the same.

However, Unity Free doesn't come with LOD -- Level of Detail -- native support, which is rather important when it comes to large and detailed scenes.  Maybe FSE could find a way to script around this.  (Come to think of it, I have no idea how LOD will work with destructible props, but I'm sure Vince and co will figure a good system out.)  Only time will tell :)

One of my first impressions of Napoleonic Wars was boom!  Kick-ass classical music and prim and proper marches as a whole platoon of soldiers gets torn apart in front of you; a fraction of a second more and you'd be dead.  It certainly caught a victorian, romanticized impression of war.

That said, I wonder what the game music will be like for Battlecry of Freedom.

Back in NW with the 51st regiment we actually devoted a training session to horse racing.  An army of engineers laid the track guidelines down using buildable props, then admins spawned a bunch of the cheat-only admin horses for us to race on.

Absolute disaster :P  Refleax and his brother Rycon (I don't know if Rycon is in these forums) did pretty well though.  I forget who actually won the tournament.

I'm CKtheFat.  Formerly 51st_Pvt_CKtheFat in NW before the regiment moved to Planetside 2.

It's possible some of you may have played on one of my maps in NW.

FSE has some great potential, no doubt.

Just don't botch things up The War Z style and I think things are looking good :)

I've never encountered this, not by admins of a public server.

And yes, I will shamefully admit, I've been that troll who decides to run to all 4 corners of the map when I'm the last surviving member of my team.  Only one.  Maybe twice :P
