Trying to learn Dutch
« on: February 21, 2013, 07:43:59 am »
I personally love the history of the people of Belgium and the Netherlands and I find it one of the most fascinating regions historically and I've been trying to learn Dutch for some time now but it's proven rather difficult, especially seeing as I have no real resources at my disposal. Could anybody here either help me (even in some small way) learn at least a little bit of Dutch or point me to a book from which I can learn Dutch because I have had absolutely no luck around where I live. Thank you very much in advance!

My native language is English but it's such a boring language in my opinion.

I would recommend using memrise.com. It's free and it works very, very well.

Veel succes hiermee! (Good luck with this!)

How can you learn Norwegian if it says in your steamprofile that you are from Norway?

The best way to learn a language is to hear it alot.

I've learned english by basicly playing english games and watching english shows.

Jocam has a point.

We have all kind of rules that make learning dutch really hard for, well, everbody outside the Netherlands or Flanders.
