Cavalry Champions League / Re: [CCL] Discussion Thread

Spoiler
The officer meeting took place yesterday evening on the CCL TS server. All regiments were represented by at least one person, and we discussed everything that happened lately, starting by giving an explaination of the stuff that led to the organizing team changing its plans, then trying to figure the next move we should collectively make.

Long story short, we had three options: we could end the competition here and now, without finishing it and giving an official result. We didn't discuss that one for long as nobody felt it was a very good choice, and it would have felt like the CCL was a failure, which it is not. The second option was to keep the competition going until the very end, with the "away" stage being played, and an extra 6 or 7 weeks added to the whole thing. This one was discussed for a long while, but the fact that we were lacking a regiment, plus the fact that lots of players wouldn't be allowed to play for any reg for a quite long period of time, made it difficult to choose this option, which would have been a great one in different circumstances. We were left with a third choice, which was to continue the event until the end of the "home" match stage, then finishing it, giving an official result, waiting for some weeks (3-4-5 weeks) before restarting a new season, having learnt from the few mistakes we've made, and forming a new organizing team, welcoming a few motivated members into it. As most people feared the community wouldn't have anything to play anymore if we ended the CCL, the idea of a new season reassured them and when we had a vote (one vote per regiment, 7 votes in total), this third option is the one we chose.

Result of the vote

We will then continue with the remaining match of the home stage, as explained first in the announcement I made some days ago. I am glad this meeting happened, it went quite smoothly and everyone took his responsabilities by attending.

Now that it is all settled let's keep going, and everything should go well now, so we can focus on competing again, there is a pretty interesting title race ahead.

Sounds good! Probably the best solution.

you're just being weepy boi here, Queen, and the salt of your tears is not the salt we all crave.

Yeah, well Demme approaches me first telling me how to run my regiment when his own is badly run. That's stupid. And when his own reg is doubleclanning in CCL he just pretends it doesn't matter. Yes, clearly I'm the one in the wrong here  ???

I asked you to have a talk with some of your members because they trolled and insulted which bothered people, including me. And I didn't say doubleclanning doesn't matter. I've simply not been informed or was bothered to check as I expect everyone in this tournament, not only 11e members, to follow the given rules.

Yeah, initially I wanted to be respectful but seeing that you are now deliberately turning a blind eye to all your members doubleregging even within CCL I guess there is no need to be civil.

I said I could not be bothered to check who got multiple accounts and that I don't care now. 11e is disbanded so your accusations of doubleregging make no sense anymore...
Also how should I know that you have proof for that?  I did not know of these cases, and maybe if you had told me about MY doubleregging merc members, I could have taken action about it.

I wouldn't call you a merc reg, but I'm not sure what I would call you.
that 11e players are mercs and doubleclanning in CCL

No words

4. It was a very stable regiment, until Lindblom was delivered to hospital ^^
5. All the servers were provided by Lindblom. It makes great sense, that his regiment participates in the league

No one is doubting 11e should have been in the league based on what we say leading up to CCL, and really best of luck for his situation, it's not my business so I won't intrude but sorry to hear such news. It's still strange that 1 player is unavailable and then the entire regiment collapses like a house of cards. Probably an executive decision, as from what I heard from important 11e members it wasnt a group call.

It was an executive decision, and for a reason. The at maximum 2 remaining officers could not lead the regiment alone.

My words were that you should concern yourself with your own regiment, not with trying to tell me how to run mine. Seeing the developments in the week since I said that means you probably didn't pay any attention to my warning.

The way you put your words, this was not a warning at all in the first place. And I did pay attention, but I cannot force crucial people to stay in the regiment or make Lindblom fully recovered.

I'm not sure I used the word mercs, I said that I couldnt tell who the 11e players were from cav-gf because they were usually wearing the tags of another regiment. Seeing as the next time I saw you on Cav-gf you were wearing some tags from a different regiment to 11e I guess I was right about that. Furthermore, you realise I have proof of 11e players multiclanning within CCL matches right? Sure, I wouldn't call you a merc reg, but I'm not sure what I would call you.

Our members mostly used our tags, no tags at all, tags from tournaments or the tag of the inactive 8th which some of them still felt close to. Same with me. I wore my OLD Nr.3 tags... But you asked me if I was already in "a new reg", which was either provocative or pretty stupid.
Also why should I realize you having proof for multiclanning within the CCL? Tbh, right now, I couldn't care less, as people must have used different Steam Accounts and different Synonyms and I couldn't be bothered to babysit players and tell them not to do multiple accounts and check it regularly.

We are a community. I know I am hypicritical for saying it but as a community we should stand together. Workin together to make cav a good place. In the end the 11e was another opponent. Another regiment. Another place for people to go, that's good.

It's incredibly sad to see it went like this and I wish the best to Lindblom ofcourse. It's a shame to see the 11e decided to stop but I can see why they did it. Now we need to look forward rather than blaming them for a decision they had to make. CNWL played with one regiment out aswell. It is possible.  Erik has called a meeting and let's focus on that instead of continueing this back and forth.

Either way. Thank you for trying to give us a high quality tournament to everyone that is or was in the CCL Team

+1, thank you Stephan, didn't expect that from you ^^
Also I wish for this bitching to stop, but I could not expect Quinn to quit firing against 11e and it's former members.

3 out of the 8 servers were provided by the KGL.

CCL 1-5 were hosted by Lindblom and used for the official matches. Therefore they were the "important" Servers.
That's just my opinion though

Servers provided by Lindblom.

CCL_3 - Frankfurt

tldr: the 11e got bored and now the league is over

Ironic that this league was meant to represent more stable and prestigious regiments and yet a 3/4 months reg got in and is already disbanded. Tbh just drop the league now, whether it’s continued or not it tastes bitter now and will be overshadowed by this mess I imagine.
5 simple facts:
1. 11e did not get bored
2. The league is not over yet
3. The day that 11e was re-found, its prestige outshined KGL's ;)

It is a shame that the whole competition ends now because of the incompetence of one regiment. Ofc. I don't know the whole backstory (and I am sorry if I missed a cruciel point) but it can't be that goddamn hard to atleast finish the "Home-Matches". How can you enlist to a league, that you know will go on for months and just give up after not even half the time?

I would have loved to play the rematches to fight some people once more, for my men to improve and to learn from our mistakes.

Nevertheless the Nr6 thanks the administration team for the work they have done. Without you none of this would have been possible in the first place.

You're probably missing the one crucial point, but that's not severe :)
Just know, that this decision had nothing to do with the incompetence of the whole regiment and that it was well reasoned.

*what are they btw?*

Ahh I don't remember the exact tone. Just some haughty words, about how 11e is a merc regiment and that he doesn't want to communicate with us.
He should be thankful that the 16e let him and the rest of KGL merc in their ranks.

I feel really sorry, that our disbandment caused the end of the CCL.
I wish that all the other regiments can still stay in high competition to each other and may for a long time.
I can't say much more to it, than that...
