Survival difficulty is seriously the opposite of being an invincible god vault dweller at the start.
Sure you can find a freckn' Fat Man soon enough, if you search a lot but very limited use with mini nukes being rare to find. I found one and only have one mini nuke thus far and a mini gun, but you really want to spray and pray that first deathclaw with it. Less than 1000 5mm rounds now. Power armor has limited fusion cores. Only got four fusion cores so far and none of them are fully charged. Since the game selects the most recharged to put in automatically if one is not transferred manually.
Fallout 3 gave you a Fat Man early on to bring down a tough super mutant behemoth
New Vegas it depends if you have the pre-order DLC or not.
For the first play through it's a rough start and Survival difficulty just makes it the roughest time. In due time I'm sure the game gets somewhat easier. If you play on Survival difficulty for the first play through, you're going to have a bad time.
You mean artificial difficulty mode?
Exactly, just super slow heal over time. No necessities of eating, drinking or sleeping needed. Defeats the purpose of such a named difficulty type.
