This will be the place for the administration to make announcements regarding the RGL.

LEAGUE START
RGL Season 8 will begin on Monday next week, 18/10/21. With the tournament projected to take 7 weeks total. Which gives us a pre Christmas finish.

Brackets can be found on its dedicated thread.

If you would like to help out the tournament be it via being an admin or a referee then please post an app on the administration thread.

98e has moved to league 2 and 59th has moved to league 3.

2Lr has dropped from 3rd league.

55th's Addition to League 2 has now been put on HOLD. The reason for this is as the organiser they forced my hand to allow them into league 2 with multiple messages not just from them, but from other regiments and other regiment leaders.

However they have signed up with a very very capable RGL roster which I have posted below. I see this as a breach of trust as they pleaded with me that they wouldn't be good enough to compete in league 1. Yet with the roster below I do not see how they cannot compete with half of the regiments in League 1 at the very least.

I will be reviewing this with Kore and other members of the team. Then it will be put to a vote as always. Personally I don't see the league 2 regiments wanting to allow them to play considering how many angry messages I have gotten since this was posted.

After a lengthy discussion including many leaders and the 55th, they have agreed to stay League 1.

There has been some changes to roster rules to account for players attempting to Bandwagon from L1 to L2/L3 regiments.

Players are now REQUIRED to be committed to your regiment for a length of time before committing them to your RGL roster. Failure to abide by this rule will face harsh punishments as this directly effects competitive integrity.

55th have dropped from RGL. This was before the rumoured merge into 16th, however they will NOT be permitted to play under 16th tags if the merge does go through. For the same reason we introduced the dedicated members rule.

Just a reminder to all reg leaders:

Please continue to post your matches on the threads as you usually do, but if you do not get a response from a reff please go to the steam group chat and request one. If not come to myself or Kore and we can assist with finding you one.

Please be mindful that on days like Friday/Sunday it will be a lot harder to find a referee with free time. In future, if you come to an admin 10 minutes before the match starts and we cannot find you a reff, you will need to reschedule.

16th Have dropped from League 2 due to a lack of interest from their members.

League 2 has concluded!

1st  - 45e
2nd - 33rd
3rd  - 56e

In one of the closest groups I have seen in a very long time, 33rd, 45e and 56e all going 5-1 in games, but with 45e barely pulling 1st place by a 2 ROUND DIFFERENCE. 33rd managed to barely take 2nd place from 56e by losing 1 LESS ROUND throughout the duration of the tournament. Thank you to all regiments for taking part and making it such a smooth tournament to host.

The final matches of League's 1 and 3 are now also complete! The final standings are for RGL Season 8 are:

League 1: 1st - 15th, 2nd - 13e, 3rd - 92nd
League 2: 1st - 45e, 2nd - 33rd, 3rd - 56e
League 3: 1st - 5e, 2nd - 25pp, 3rd - 2eGren

Will make a longer post once the tournament etc. is over tonight but congrats to 15th for taking the final over 13e.
