It has recently come to our attention that several members of the forum including developers and moderators have been the target of extremely offensive material which has been posted on and off the forum by members directly related to this group/regiment.
Normally a few isolated incidents would not warrant consideration for further action but FSE has carefully weighed whether or not the offenses should be seen as an isolated issue/act/provocation or whether or not it should be looked at in the greater context of continued and prolonged disruptive behavior and attitudes that have been a perpetual stumbling block for cooperation between FSE, the community and said group.
2. Trolling, insulting and other personal attacks
Personal attacks on forum users and moderators of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes (but it is not limited to) insults, provocations for the sake of argument, homophobic slurs, threats, encouragement to suicide, wishing death or ill upon a user and death threats or threats to the persons physical constitution. The latter (in the threats category), in the absence of humor, is a criminal offense and will result in an immediate ban. Discussions are allowed, but only constructive discussions, not discussions where your main goal is to humiliate or offend someone. Aim to discuss points rather than people. Also do not post screamer links; it may result in an immediate mute or ban depending on how far the admin launched his breakfast upon viewing. Additionally; should a user create an account or group solely for the means of trolling, advertisement of trolling, or as a means to cause harm to another individual or group, in whatever shape or form, then FSE reserves the right to refuse service to the individual or group in question.
Being that several members of this group have actively participated in causing harm to other members of the forum through various mediums, FSE has decided to suspend several threads belonging to the group. FSE is not obligated to provide forum service to groups or individuals and may refuse service if it feels that providing thus would be contrary to the community's or FSE's interests.
We apologize to those who may feel unfairly inconvenienced by this action but given the disposition of a large section of the group's members towards FSE and other community members, the long standing and unhealthy rivalries that have developed between groups and the serious nature of the personal attacks made by members of the group against FSE devs, moderators and community members; it has been concluded that further tolerance of the current status-quo is unlikely to yield any long term or short term constructive results.
