I might be a bit late commenting on this, but I thought "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" was lacking one critical aspect of any successful film-- a proper plotline. Sure, it was exciting and an overall enjoyable movie to watch, but the story finished unresolved and lacked variety in the problematic situations its characters encountered. Once the next two sequels are released and this movie can be viewed as part of a completed trilogy, I think I can then offer it more praise. It's unfortunate that Hollywood insists on creating unnecessary sequels and breaking up single stories into multiple parts rather than being content on creating one fantastic film, which is rarely done anymore with big titles such as "The Hobbit." It all reflects a concern for money rather than quality films.I agree, however I would find the LOTR crammed and short if they put all they could into a 3 hour movie, instead of letting it stretch out and over time tighten loose points. I think the first Hobbit is kind of a foothold for the whole plot, I don't think 2 more movies are necessary although 1 more movie would easily be able to wrap it up. Also I found the more humorous and casual part of the Hobbit more appealing. Anyone else have any thoughts?

While being a member of the 89th Royal Guard and while wearing 89th tags in Napoleonic Wars servers, you are expected to display a certain level of respect for other regiments, public members of the community, and especially fellow members of the 89th. This means no trolling, no team killing, and no insulting other regiments or admins.
We saw in tonight's line battle how disrespect for admins and being an all-around troll can cause individuals to be kicked and/or banned from the event. In the past, these bans have been placed on entire regiments.
The 89th Royal Guard has worked hard to maintain an element of respect and geniality among individuals and regiments in the community, and it would be unfortunate to lose that.
Please keep this in consideration as we attend line battles and as you enjoy other servers provided in Napoleonic Wars.

Well my awesome brain had an idea. Since we don't have anything on Mondays I want to do an OPTIONAL , melee training with those who want to get better at it. Firstly I am not being a cocky bastard by saying i'm amazing at melee. However I along with some others are willing to help you guys train in the art of melee and hopefully get you better at it. I have noticed the improvement to the few I have gone into group-fighting servers with, so why not the rest right? I assume you're talking about Javert, who is a police inspector and not in the military. And Marshal, you crazy. The singing may not have been pitch perfect, but that's the point. Every other rendition you'll see of this musical will have amateur actors with perfect singing, but lacking depth and emotion. This film version of Les Miserables was gritty, honest, at times overwhelmingly dark, and at others consolatorily uplifting. It gave the story and songs the emotion they deserved. And the fact that the actors sang everything live while acting makes their singing quite impressive, in my opinion.

Andrew was destroying friendly fortifications, killing friendly horses, and TKing while Wuffles was "accidently" tking the same players incessantly (Wuffles was just auto-kicked for excessive TKing I've noticed). Not sure if that is becoming of your regiment, which seems well put together otherwise. Cheers.

The troops were tough and fought heroically, led to victory by their fearless commander who, in the heat of battle, stopped briefly to care for an injured baby bird that had fallen from its nest before picking up his sword once again to send the Prussians back to the gates of Hell.

This is friendly reminder that all rankers are expected to attend Sunday night trainings at 7 EST as it is obligatory. It is crucial that everyone attend, especially our new cadets. This past Sunday exhibited horrific attendance. It was a shamefur dispray.i agree with you lap. if anyone is wondering why they dont get promoted that would be a reason right there. also i bet the fallout shelter was cool
Despite this, we understand that not everyone can be available each week at that time. If you are a new cadet who is unfamiliar with our commands/formations and was unable to attend the last training, feel free to let me know and I would be happy to run you through a few line drills so that you can feel better prepared for the week's events.

Oh interesting.Indeed, last summer I went MIA for almost all summer. I lost my skill and really forgot how to play, I decided to demote myself from guard back to the very beginning..i felt that since i was gone for so long that a unskilled player like myself should not be that high of a rank, i fixed that and now that i'm back to playing more often and as much as I can, it feels like I better deserve the rank then when I did long ago.

When you start the game try this:
Mini-window splash screen on start up
Configure / Advanced / Check the box that says "Force Single Threading"

For some reason my Steam says I've only played 110 minutes of Warband. I'm fairly certain that figure is incorrect. It doesn't really bother me, although it was always interesting to see how many hours I've wasted on the game.1275 hours for me :P

I'm not too concerned about price but I also don't want to go crazy either. My current laptop plays most games just fine, but it is 3 or 4 years old now and is getting outdated: Dell Studio XPS / Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz / ATI Radeon HD 4670, 1GB / 4 GB Ram. I think I paid nearly $2,000 for it back in the day, so I'm hoping not to pay much more than that if I can help it.
I know some might recommend just getting a desktop for gaming, which I would also consider, but I do like just having one laptop for everything so I can take it places for my work. But I suppose I could always use my old laptop for that as well. Anyway, if you have any suggestions let me know please.
