When is the approxmate start date for this league?

I guess there will be a more 'official' announcement about it but Kaide wanted to start it a bit after the EIC. I told him a significant break would be appreciated by most of the EIC regiments also potentially partaking in this league so I am not sure how many weeks you can expect between the EIC ends (early July) and the beginning of this competition, but shouldn't be too much from the insights I have gathered.

I agree. Would be good if other officers could share their opinions/wishes about this too.

Perfect schedule, in my opinion, would be starting the league in September, giving everyone time to rest during the summer vacations. But I think Kaide has other plans in minds so you are better off asking him.

The idea was to have the summer off then start leagues again when the school year begins in September (July-August off)

Discussions are underway on steam between the leaders. It will likely be one month after the EIC conclusion. People must remember, half the teams get knocked out after three games and the winning regiment only plays 6 games and wins £50 pound. This will be a short but highly competitive event with an array of special features that we will carry over from the previous NWCL.

Delighted to announce that the previous NWCL 2016-2017 winning regiment will be returning to defend their title - the 77y.

With the EIC final approaching. We are going to make an application to get a sub-board thread. And sign ups will open. Mid-September looks like a potential start. With the end date being the end of October. We talked to many leaders on steam and things have been moving behind the scenes.
