Royal Canadian Regiment *NA-EU*
« on: December 26, 2013, 12:40:14 am »
Regiment is an NA and EU based community add Hugh McKennzie on steam to join.

The Royal Canadian Regiment is an infantry regiment of the Canadian Army. The regiment consists of four battalions, three in the Regular Force and one in the Primary Reserve (militia). The RCR is the senior infantry regiment in the Regular Force, but its 4th Battalion (formerly the London and Oxford Fusiliers) is ranked 11th in the order of precedence among infantry regiments in the Primary Reserve. Originally stationed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the regiment's four battalions are now stationed in Ontario and New Brunswick. With many of its soldiers drawn from Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces in recent decades, the regiment maintains a general connection as the "local" infantry regiment for eastern Canada.

The RCR maintains a Regimental Headquarters (RHQ) in Petawawa, Ontario, which has no operational command role but handles regimental affairs outside the responsibility of the individual Battalions. The Royal Canadian Regiment Museum is located within historic Wolseley Hall in London, Ontario. Wolseley Barracks in London has been continuously occupied by some element of the regiment since construction of Wolseley Hall was completed in 1888. At various times Wolseley Barracks has been the home of the Regimental Headquarters, the 1st and 2nd Battalions, and remains the home of the 4th Battalion today..

You should try the new patch for blood and iron as well.

Even if the reigning monarch is a female I believe it is still a kingsman. Also the Crimean war pre-dates the Childers reforms. Also Colonel in Chief is reserved for royals.

Hi there.
We have a (slightly inactive) Unit In Anglo-Zulu,  With the aforementioned name.
I'd have to ask you take another.
If you want I can dig up the forum post. though I believe I locked it to consolidate posts. with the main regiment.

As well as this, we're also known specifically as the 90th_Perth. Both in MM/NW and NW's Mods.

Thanks for your time
- Viktor

P.S
The 90th Perthshire has been around for around two to three years. a simple search on the forums (specifically this sub-board) would reveal that the name is already taken.

Beaten to it lol - https://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=3137.0

As the regiment already exists please ensure both your Thread name and In game tags are significantly different so as to avoid confusion and mistaken identity arguments otherwise action will have to be taken to ensure as such.

doesnt make sense...
if the regiment is inactive and the thread is locked why should I have to name change?
Ive had to make millions of name changes before but they were active and had a open thread,
explain more why I must change for a regiment which pretty much is closed?

Firstly, the regiment is not inactive, the unit specified for Anglo-Zulu is partially.
Secondly, We have an open thread, admittedly it needs updating but it is linked in the last post of the Anglo Zulu Specific thread.

lastly, If you have already had to make "millions" of name changes in the past, what's another one?

The 90th isn't a Highlander regiment though.

I was referring to the 71st, but Perthshire always liked treating themselves as a Scottish regiment, if I remember correctly.

Well Perthshire is in Scotland so they definitely are a Scottish regiment.
