Also Bots get stuck above the 2 houses on the redoubt last time i saw.

If you were referring to the Alamo.. I knew there were 2 area's on the rooftops, which werent bot friendly.
1. On the roof of the building in the corner (next to the breach and with 2 cannons) had an incorrect AI mesh.
2. On the roofs near the other corner, bots sometimes got stuck on the tilted roofparts. (the one not-flat roof)
3. 1 ramp was missing on the roofs, kinda forgot which ones

These were fixed, so if it was on another spot, I'll still have to check it

For one, at least now I know it's true that this person has some problems.
Secondly, I'm sure that there must be one unsimilar nickname around.

If these keys were bought, I'm still happy to see the income generated on the positive side

After seeing the Alamo in action several times, I've noted down some of the mistakes:

- several cannons do not fire properly, fixed by making an incline at the cannons' positions.
- at several places the AI sometimes got stuck, fixed the AI mesh for this and placed 2 ramps on roofs.
- several details missing, atleast made a defensive fortification in the courtyard but more should come.

I just have a question in order to make it more balanced and as shown in the screenshot.
I want to move the flag and perhaps the attackers' spawn in order to draw the battle more inside the courtyard.
Plus, should I disable cavalry for the balance?

Was thinking this myself, co-Dutchman.
I think it's a texture pack or something like that for a bit better 'plaster' texture on the walls and such.
Not sure, but my M&B sure is uglier than that :p

Okay, so I have a question, what would be the steps I would need to take to host a un-dedicated server? Like I said, this is just to mess around with some friends, nothing serious.

To my knowledge it would just be the "Host Game" option in the actual M&B game, as long as the settings are correct and the ports are open for connections then I guess it would work? But I've not heard of much success using this method. My advice would be to just stick with the dedicated application and files, if its still not working I could PM you a guide on how to set one up for yourself. Although it seems like you pretty much know all this, just a few errors and hiccups your having.

Sometimes I lack on internet security, but I do believe my firewall's on all the time now and that I've allowed M&B to it times ago.
Almost always I forget to set a password, when hosting a 'scene edit' game, and have people joining/fighting when I'm building the map :p

Funny tho to attack them and just build yourself in with walls.. I absolutely do not advice this however, it can crash like crazy.
(in case you wonder how, you can enable edit mode in the splash screen)

I just felt very alone on the server. Me vs the bots lol. Sundays... i need to serve my daily addiction to these server.
Warband has gone nuts and people are struggling to find the servers due to some huge bug. Hopefully this problem should go away soon enough!

Yea, this had to do with a recurring problem with the validation server.
Only experienced it once or twice myself and it doesn't seem to apply to -all- players.

For me.. it sounds like it has to be some kind of routing problem / dns related. But this is on their side and maybe they're letting specific countries in, but not all.. in order to prevent too much overhead.
(if a server went down, often a lot of people will constantly try to login, overloading the server again)

I'll try to redo the map a bit for bot siege-battles.

Currently at the office and finding out I am actually starting my holiday 1 day earlier. I cannot remember dates..
So I should have the time!

Found out the AI pathing works pretty well, but I might have to remove several multiple level area's.
Ie. there are multiple houses with walkable roofs and if people decide to hide on the roofs, bots might gather below.

Plus 1 question.. I can´t seem to tell the bots -not- to spawn as cavalry, only when I'm actually in the attackers' team. Do you know how to limit bot class types? (dedicated server would be fine)
Having 30-50% bots as cavalry kinda plugs up some entryways
If buildings are high enough and the ai mesh is correctly done bots shouldn`t gather below a spot to much of an extent. Bots will spawn as cavalry when no humans are on their team. Best way to test a bot map is to have  a friend join the other team or test each side one at  a time. Simply put only  a couple of bots on the enemy team and a lot on your team to accurately test how they handle the terrain! :D

I'm very close to finishing up the map, but just 1 more question before I can send/upload it.
The filesize of the map is already 598k, is it wise to continue with detailing (which probably adds up quite a bit)?

The AI mesh seems to be working quite well, including with the many buildings/rooftops, but I do need to test this out with human players on both sides.
It is suitable for cavalry, as long you keep the bots unmounted.

Before releasing I still have to remove all double windows (makes the game crash often) and disabling all doors.

I was retouching up one of my maps in progress.. (lost a lot of work, because an update.. forgetting to backup the latest)

Could this be 15th humans vs bots compatible?

I do not really think so tho, because I would have to remove attackers' arty.. to prevent breaching the walls (which would look silly with bots w/o AI mesh).
And ofcourse I will have to make some holes for bot passage.

It was originally meant to go for regular human vs human siege.
Destructable terrain would always prove troublesome for bot maps and also is the map bigger than the standard custom map size by any chance? Bigger maps take up a lot of space due to the increase in faces for the ai mesh. Looks like an interesting map though, have you had it play tested at all yet?

The only play testing I've done was either with bots, (in the current version you do have to open the gates), or with people randomly joining in when I'm making the map and forgot to set a password. (which might be the reason of some crashes)
I was thinking to make it look like a post-battle scene with a lot of holes in the wall for the bots to pass thru. But the defenders can still make more breaches and I wonder if it wouldnt look too silly if there were bots ignoring these breaches. (as the AI mesh doesn't follow the defenders-made breaches).

I don't think you are using any maps with breachable walls at all, are you? (disregarding the efficiency of the breach)

I don't know, but the court can. Where are they based anyway? Depending on what country they're registered in it could be difficult to persue them.

You will need something as an agreement. Without this, I don't think there will be any case at all.
If you have an agreement with the guy, there really should be some personal information about him (or his company).

E-mail communication might be used, but I really do not know if this binds a legal agreement.. and if so, in which countries it'll apply.

I do agree with Vincenzo.

It is best to group up and perhaps in a different thread / area than here, as this is becoming an advertisement thread.

If it might be around the Netherlands, I might be able to help, but in any other country, I cannot. (in case people are underaged, which should not really matter legally anyhow)

For the other part, I got no idea who this guy is or how much people generally ask for hosting a NW server.
As it is more or less my profession, I might take a look at how costly it would be placing my own servers.. but I don't really think I will, unless people want servers based in the Netherlands.
(I am a communist tho = non-profit)
