Massive job loss will take place, but if left allowed to, the market will adapt. I just don't want my job to be taken away from me, tbh.

World Will See DPRK Emerging as Thriving Nation

Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The Indian paper Voice of Million carried an article titled "New strategic line" on Mar. 20. A new strategic line was advanced at the March, 2013 plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the paper said, and went on:

The DPRK's decision was the most just and wise option. Its new strategic line is the most realistic one suited to the specific conditions of the DPRK as it aims to build a thriving socialist nation.

The Korean people suffered many obstacles and difficulties in economic construction in the past.

It was because it had to divert huge human and material wealth to bolstering up its military muscle, though it should have served economic development and improvement of the people's living standard, owing to the ceaseless sanctions, pressure and threat of aggression by the U.S. and other hostile forces.

Given that the DPRK has had access to a powerful nuclear deterrence for self-defense, its people now have become possible to accelerate the building of an economic power at will under safer circumstances.

Gone are the times never to return when the U.S. threatened the DPRK with nukes and put a brake on its economic construction.

The Korean people regard the country's sovereignty and dignity dearer than their lives and staunchly fight for them at the cost of their lives.

The world will clearly see the DPRK successfully building a thriving socialist nation, mercilessly smashing the imperialists and their followers' threat of a war by dint of the powerful nuclear deterrent.

Kim Jong Un Goes Up Mt. Paektu with Fighter Pilots of KPA

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, climbed the top of Mt. Paektu at dawn of Saturday, together with the members of KPA fighter pilots' expedition of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu. He made a speech there.

With a broad smile on his face, the Supreme Commander said that the looks of Mt. Paektu is impressive and the sunrise over Mt. Paektu is a charming and beautiful sight rare to be seen, adding the new morning of Korea dawns from Mt. Paektu.

When one climbs snow-stormy Mt. Paektu and undergoes the blizzards over it, one can experience its real spirit and harden the resolution to accomplish the Korean revolution. Climbing Mt. Paektu provides precious mental pabulum more powerful than any kind of nuclear weapon.

Park of Waterworks and Flowers under Construction

Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- A project for building a park of large-size waterworks and flowers is nearing completion in Pyongyang.

Now it has been pushed forward to assemble the large-size fountains, build resting sites, plant flowers and turf and pave the park with granite.
The park will add beauty to scenic Pyongyang City. An increasing number of citizens have volunteered themselves to work for its completion.

I'll admit, that water park looks fucking amazing. Too bad north korea is full of internment camps and their people are starving....so.....kinda ruins it.

You said we could ask questions.

How about religion in the DPRK? Because there are lots of contradictory claims on the internet about that topic.

Korea has achieved 99% self sufficiency in staple foods.
It is generally believed that they lack protein in their diets but many experts believe the DPRK to be exaggerating it's issues with food and medical supplies as to be able to "milk" more aid out of the West.

As for the camps we only have satellite imagery and South Korean Agents pretending to be ex camp guards from the North.
Shin Dong Hyuk has even admitted to have lied about his time in those camps and his record in the DPRK has showed him to be a sub par citizen.

A Russian-born Korean specialist Andrei Lankov (Lankov has some of the best videos and books on Korea by the way) commented that "some suspicions had been confirmed when Shin suddenly admitted what many had hitherto suspected", described Harden's book as unreliable, and noted that defectors faced considerable psychological pressure to embroider their stories.

The incarceration rates in the DPRK remain lower then in the U.S. It's also important to note that the U.S also has water parks. No one seems to mind the fact that the country also has plenty of jails.

You said we could ask questions.

How about religion in the DPRK? Because there are lots of contradictory claims on the internet about that topic.

Religion is heavily discouraged and the church and mosque in Pyongyang seems to be symbolic.
It is probably illegal much like during Enver Hoxha's Albania.

Religion is contradictory to the basic beliefs of Juche.

What means "illegal"? Illegal to have worship service? Or do people who are suspected religious generally go to jail?

They are sent to a re-education camp where they learn about the values of their system while doing some side labor. Usually re-plantation and farm work.

Do you think that maybe a "re-education camp" and an "internment camp" are one in the same? :O

Visitors cannot bring bibles or movies, music and your suitcases will be screened.
You have to follow their rules.

No. Different camps for different offenses. They don't have serial killers and rapists sharing an environment with someone who was caught praying.
They also live in different conditions and do different labor.
