Most Canadians had fairly important jobs, such as farming, trapping and trading, and it could be detrimental to remove these men from the usually very small communities most Canadians lived in. There was also the problem of when the regiment invariably departed Canada---most Canadians would probably be unwilling to leave the country to serve abroad. The British also didn't like the idea of foreigners being stationed in Britain and typically avoided it.

Just my 2 cents, our studies into units stationed in NSW state that NSW corps/102nd where stil wearing white breeches/gaiters in 1809, and the 73rd where wearing them when they arrived in 1810-1813

I'm all for Canadian pride and what not, but the 41st were Welsh.

Oh were they? Ahh I see. Maybe Kochi should make some Canadian Militia then? It would be cool.

I do have the Canadian Fencibles in my to do list, but they'll have to wait  a few days, if not weeks. I want to finish the 79th highlanders now.

Just a small something I came up with in the NW Custom Battle mode:

Fancy, is it not?

When you've done 79th could you try 73rd? Never seen them done and since they weren't in highland uniform it could be interesting.

Could someone tell me where he's getting those template uniforms from because they look like they're from mont-saint-jean.com but that's only for the 100 days campaign. I've always been looking for a peninsular website as i've already found a war of 1812 site...

Um... I make them myself? If I can make a bloody skin pack, I can easily put together those uniforms  :P

And regarding the flag... Well, my good lad, there is something called "paint.net". The flags are just pasted and edited in there  ;D
