Educating people about how your uniforms are wrong?

"See, this uniform I'm wearing? It's really the uniform they didn't wear! Cool huh?"

Oh well, here I was, thinking that Re-enactment was about being historical instead of looking cool.
We arent like you. All poncy and perfect. We have a fuck tone of fun and its people like you that ruin reenacting.

It's people like you that don't re-enact.

It's also people like you who think it's fun to, repeatably, insult volunteer organizations that work incredibly hard, in their free time, to give re-enactors a good time. To make sure the battle is safe for the horses. To make sure we have enough firewood and water. Now, I never planned to do this, I didn't really care, I trusted you were good guys. But you started it. I said I'd ignore it, and you did it again. That's an insult to the NAN, to the volunteers, to the council and to me.

I also never claimed to be perfect. I know the errors in my impression, and I acknowledge them.

I'm also not asking anyone to buy 3-4 uniforms. I'm asking people not to claim they are historical accurate while they aren't. That honor is to people who actually work hard at it and do full-time research.

Re-enactment is about re-enacting the past, is it not?

Also good job on ignoring 90% of my post and just go for the bit you can, once again, throw insults at.

So Re-enactment truly is just about drinking beer cans and shooting muskets. Why don't you all just go join a shooting club?

I dont give a fuck about the NAN so i dont wish to waste time on it. We reenact and i think you are the only person to comment on our uniforms.
We have had historians talk to us and not once did they mention inaccurate uniforms. No one gives a fuck about if its right or wrong. We do battles, drill and guard places. We do it so well we get asked to do it again and again. You are the only person who bitches about uniforms.
