Psht at least we defied European Imperialism
Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Psht at least the French, Spanish and Dutch tried to help us to think we were defying European Imperialism
There, fixed for you.
Now go spew your Americanism somewhere else than a St. George's day thread.

There is no point trying to argue for the "American way" on a thread made the celebrate the greatness of England. Imperialism is great, Britain is so good at it. And finally... CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCHY FTW!!!

Welcome to the 'nam

Spoiler
Both had crucial turning points- Saratoga and Tet. Both Civil Wars. Guerilla style warfare. Both were fighting over government. Outside countries were not supportive of wars. Only 1 of the 2 sides had issued uniforms. Both used guns and gun powder. Both were fought over vast distances with long lines of communication. Both wars triggered animosity among the common people. The undecided were alienated and the strategies were analogous.

So you did not learn from your own tactics and you cannot easily beat these tactics, in the American sense it was the tactics of cowards not fighting conventionally. At least the VC had fear of nuclear weapons as well as being an LEDC.

Funny how conflicts link together

Come on people, no need to turn this into a "your country sucks and mine is awesome" thread.

Anyways, happy (post) St. George's day everyone.

This thread isn't even in the right forum, should be in off-topic.

It was a celebration thread for members of the community, so there was really no need to move it there on the day of the holiday. Now that it's over it can be moved in case people want to continue discussion there.
