Welcome one and all to the North American Cavalry Groupfighting League. I created the league with the goal of rekindling a competitive cavalry community in North America. Hopefully, if all goes well, this will continue for seasons to come. Teams and regiments alike are welcomed to the league, as long as attendance is consistent.

BEGINS JULY 1

1. Regiments and groups are allowed, however, you may not play for more than one team.
2. Teams must pick one of the following classes: Cuirassier, Hussar, or Dragoon, and must not change classes throughout the seasons.
3. No invites are allowed.
4. If a player leaves a regiment that is in the league, they may not play for another team in the league.
5. No shooting.
6. No wall-hugging.
7. Teams must only consist of rankers.
8. Team are allowed a maximum of seven players on their posted roster, five starters and two substitutes.
9. If a team fails to field a full five-man team, the opponent may play with a full team.
10. Maximum five players per team on the field at a time (durr).
11. Matches will be played on a randomly generated map, agreed on by all parties, and the time will be 60:00 minutes.
12. Matches will be best of ten. All ten rounds must be played, or the game will count as a forfeit.
13. Matches must be refereed by a neutral player (i.e. outside of either regiment).
14. Matches must be played on a predetermined server.
15. Each week will begin on Sunday, and end the following Sunday at midnight eastern-standard. Scores MUST be posted by the end of the week.
16.Each win will count as 5 points, each draw as 3, and each loss as 0.
17.Each team will have at least one match a week (bye weeks determined by number of teams).
18. If a team does not show up at the designated time without an agreed reschedule, they will forfeit the game 10-0.
19. Do not spam or troll, be respectful.
20. The referee of the game must be respected. Do not argue with decisions.

What's good my dudes. Haven't been here in a good year or so, so I'm not sure what you guys like these days, but I was thinking about running a MUN-type game, based on current events.

It would be fairly easy to run (knock on wood, knowing you all), and there would always be constant updates! Any thoughts and suggestions would be nice.

History of God's Gift to Politics
The UK Independence Party is a Eurosceptic and right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom. Headquartered in Newton Abbot, Devon, its leader is Nigel Farage. UKIP has one Member of Parliament in the House of Commons, three representatives in the House of Lords, and twenty-three Members of the European Parliament, making it the largest UK party in the European Parliament. It has 499 councillors in UK local government and one member of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

What are we?
UKIP is a competitive cavalry team. We contend in tournaments and small leagues, and are made up of players from multiple regiments. Basically I saw all these silly groupfighting clans and said lol why not

A dedicated group of skilled and experienced cavalrymen, strong and courageous on the battlefield. Taking up and beating down any challenge which gets in our way, we don't scare off from our foes. We are disciplined and sensible, with the main objective to win. In our regiment you will find lots of strong players as well as dedicated team members on whom you can rely. Don't be shy to gives us all a shout, we're intimidating but friendly nonetheless.

History
Formed on 9 February 1793 as the Hussards de la Montagne, the regiment was quickly renamed the 12th Regiment of Hussars in 1793. On 20 September 1803, the regiment became the 30th Regiment of Dragoons, reforming as the 12th Hussars on 17 February 1813.

The regiment fought throughout the war, notably in Spain.

By the end of the war, the regiment had earned two battle honors, one in Marengo, 1800, and the other in Lyon, 1814.

Information
Apologies for the barebones thread at the moment, I've not had a ton of time to do some nice forum editing yet! Anywho, some of you may know me, some of you may not! I am Murch, I do cavalry shit. However, I thought it would be neat to spread my devious little wings into ArmA 3.

Over the last year or so, I've been in a unit, and even got a decent rank. However, I was not having fun on the ground. I've always been a pilot, and always will be. That got me thinking, you know, there must be people like me. Pilots who hate getting stuck on the ground in a silly infantry unit. That's when I got the idea. Why not make an air force unit?! And so, we're here!

The 25th Fighter Squadron is a realism unit based around the air force, specifically around the A-10 Fighter Squadrons. Therefor, we have chosen to take a unique path and have minimal ground elements!

What are we looking for?

Regiments / Koninklijke Landmacht ~ The Dutch Are Coming!
« on: September 20, 2014, 03:16:01 pm »
Koninklijke Landmacht

History
The Royal Netherlands Army was raised on 9 January 1814, but its origins date back to 1572, when the so-called Staatse Leger was founded. Therefore, the Netherlands operates one of the world's oldest standing armies, dating back to the 16th century. This army of the Dutch Republic was one of the less organised, and not well trained armies of the 17th and early 18th century, and saw actions in the Eighty Years War, the Dano-Swedish War (1658–1660), the Franco-Dutch War, the Nine Years War, the War of Spanish Succession, the War of Austrian Succession, and the French Revolutionary Wars until the French conquered the Netherlands in early 1795.

The Staatse Leger was replaced by the army of the Batavian Republic in 1795, which in turn was replaced by the army of the Kingdom of Holland in 1806. It fought alongside the French in the Anglo-Russian Invasion of Holland in 1799 and several campaigns in Germany, Austria and Spain between 1800 and 1810. Most notable were the engagements of the Horse Artillery (Korps Rijdende Artillerie) at the Battle of Friedland in 1807, the capture of the city of Stralsund in 1807 and 1809 and the participation of the Dutch brigade in the Peninsular War between 1808 and 1810. The independent army was disbanded in 1810 when Napoleon decided to 'reunite' Holland into France ("La Hollande est reunie à l'Empire"). The army units became part of the Grande Armée. The present day French 126th Infantry Regiment has Dutch origins. Dutch army elements participated in the French invasion of Russia in 1812. Most notable were the actions of the Pontonniers company under Captain Benthien at the Berezina River (Battle of Berezina). New research points out that, contrary to what is currently believed, approximately half of the Dutch contingent of the Grande Armée survived the Russian Campaign.[2]

An independent Dutch army was resurrected by the new Kingdom of the United Netherlands in 1814, following the Orangist uprising against Napoleonic rule in 1813. This new force, the Netherlands Mobile Army, formed an integral part of the allied army during the Hundred Days Campaign that culminated in the Battle of Waterloo. Units such as Baron Chassé's were key in securing victory for the allied army. Since 1814, the army have been involved in several military conflicts (Waterloo campaign 1815, several colonial wars 1825–1925, and the Belgian Revolution 1830–1832.)

Rules
PTS- PTS is Permission to speak. We use this so no one is talking while commands are being given.

1. Be respectful to everyone.

2. Conduct yourself in a professional and mature manner. This means that cursing, glitching, trolling,
flaming, and name calling or other forms of fighting are not allowed. This is especially important when
we are in events or on a public server.

3. Follow Orders. It is vital for the survival of the regiment that all orders given by our Officers are
followed to the letter and without question or argument.

4. Do not retaliate. Regardless of the situation, if something is done to you (ie Teamkill, insult, etc)
you are not to retaliate, but are instead to inform an officer or admin and report the problem.
Anyone found retaliating will be dealt with in the same manner as the original offender.
