The Opimates fought against the Populares ( Julius Caeser and his supporters ). After four years the Populares defeated the Opitmates after the battle of Mundan. About the XXIII The  goal of the legion is mostly to have fun in our spare time while we play NW. I guess you could see it like Rome 2 in that we will play it a lot, but still play and be loyal to our mother regiment, the 63e. So yeah, anyways, I plan to keep the regiment layed back so we can have fun but still enforce discipline to where we won't be hurting anyone else's experience because I know how annoying it can be to havetrolls in a game. So yeah, for anyone interested we are going to be North American and European so no need to worry about your continent, we will play on both with battles on each one. We will also be playing as cavalry and artillery to help diversify ourselves from the infantry only legions that  others have made.
