Lady Butler's 28th Regiment of Foot at Quatre Bras
« on: March 16, 2015, 04:15:19 am »
Two large high res pictures of Lady Butler's famour painting depicting the 28th Foot at the battle of Quatre Bras. On a side note as some might point out the 28th actuelly retained their stopepipe shakos throughout the 100 days campaign instead of adopting the Belgic Shako like the rest of the army as depicted.

Its recommended you open these pictures in a new tab.

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Nice Photos  :)
Arminius/Dennis Bergkamp/Tristan Bouvier/J.P. ...

All my life I’ve been fearful of defeat. But now that it has come it’s not near as terrible as I’d expected. The sun still shines, water still tastes good…glory is all well and good but life is enough, nay?

On the first painting, why does it say Egypt on the frame when the battle was in Europe?

Nice, I was never able to find a version that high in quality and resolution, great finds!

Because of the 28th's cap badge:
