American Revolution: A young British officer of the 62nd Regiment of Foot , as he would have appeared during the Saratoga Campaign of 1777. His arms consist of a short light fusil (fuzee) with a bayonet, no sword. Don Troiani Historical Artist

Don Troiani is a master painter of a number os US millitary scenes. He is currently working on a Rev War painting depicting Daniel Morgan's riflemen coming along a woodland trail to attack the British line at the Battle of Saratoga.

He is quite good. Sad that artwork like this can't be appreciated more. Now we have this modern shit. A bench that has paint splattered on it is now art.  :P

Some of my personal favorites:





This one is of Hessian troops assaulting Fort Washington, but I find it particularly interesting because it includes Margaret Corbin afteer being wounded at her husbands cannon. (she was not bayoneted.)
