United States or Britain?
« on: November 24, 2013, 09:16:17 am »
This topic is going to be about the colonization of North America, particularly the colonization of the area now apart of the USA.
A lot of people have some really strong opinions on this topic and I'd like to see them.
I would like to keep this a civil discussion.

I personally will side with my country, because even though some of the things that the colonists were getting mad over were ridiculous, they wanted freedom from an empire. The patriots felt being controlled by an empire across the ocean was absolute blasphemy.
Also, Americans have a trend of hating taxes, as seen today.  ::)

I'm a very political person and I see no reason to not create a somewhat political discussion just to have something to discuss.
It may cause a shit storm and if it does then I'm sure some moderator will lock the thread.
If people can just argue in a civil manor than this thread could be a success.

I very much doubt Americans can look upon the rebellion objectively.

What about the majority of natives already living there?

That doesn't justify anything.
