Official Administration Applications



Applications are open!


The Battle Cry of Freedom  Admin team have their roots in the Napoleonic Wars. A team of Professional and mature Players, that strive to make sure that the official servers are well looked after.
We are looking for Mature and respected community members to help run the BCOF servers marked with Official in the server browser.  This may include events hosted on the official servers.
Admins are required to be active and have a neutral standing in all situations and look for the best outcome for the community.
A successful Applicant must follow the server rules at all times, while also adhering to the admin rules. Failing to follow either set of rules may result in dismissal and a possible ban from the server.
Your conduct on the forums and discord is taken into consideration for both approval to, and removal from the team.
Once accepted a 2 week trial period will commence where your performance will be evaluated. The trial period can be changed depending on circumstances.
Only successful applicants will be responded to by pm or steam by Thunderstormer (for NA). This only happens when there is a need or want for new admins.
Applications will be accepted on the fly and there is no set closing date for applications.
Applications are open to anyone. We will not announce when candidates are being selected for trials; they will be informed by PM only.

Regiments: None, but in the past with the 1stEB as a 1st Lt (in-charge of practically everything), and merc often with the 77y / 77th on bcof.
About yourself: I've been here for quite some time, both in the NW community and in and around FSE. I help where I can for people, and have tried to extend the limited help I can provide to FSE themselves through means of suggestions and moderation of the Discord. I also have no life so game pretty much 24/7 when I'm free and, if not gaming I'm around Discord chatting with people about games. I also love  histroy and sci fi universes like warhammer 40k and star wars, I'm an absolute geek.
Why you would be a good admin: Well I've managed Minisiege for 5 years and it's doing pretty good under my tenure, growing from a stangnant featureless plane with awful admins, to a thriving community with a large discord (considering it's only for 2 in-game servers it's big) of 1.8k members almost. I have experience in dealing with other admins on Minisiege and EUC, acting as the Head Admin for most of my time there. My roles in the community was effectively co-owner, without owning anything or paying for anything. I just managed everything, made a lot of the maps and made some scripts and huge community events such as campaigns to retain interest on NW and grow the community.

I've also been moderator on the FSE Discord for coming 4 years now and I've been a good boy the whole time, now managing as your Head Moderator <3

About yourself: Currently 2nd IC of the 63e in Holdfast NAW. I have been playing Holdfast since 2017 and in that time i have run and maintaned various private events such as the 49th Saturday Linebattle (about 1 year), 63e Tuesday NA Siege (About 6 months to a year), 63e Friday and Sunday Linebattles ( 1.5 years). I was in the 49th ROF from Nov 2017 until March 2019 where I joined the 63e and have been there since.
Why you would be a good admin: As stated above i have run successful regimental events over the last 5 years across two separate regiments. I try to admin as fairly as possible without any bias even towards my own regiment. I try to be strict when I should be and lenient when I can but maintaining the integrity of the event at all times.

About yourself: Hi I'm Noob, I only been playing since linebattle games since 2016 or 17, I like anime/cartoons, cars and rock music. I also have a cat that is pretty cool named Charlie Cat and I also play some csgo. Favorite Color is blue (looks bad on cars though), Favorite Car is a Classic Mini Cooper(willing to admin for 10 years for one) and my favorite type of food is grilled lamb. I also have hobbies such as working on cars, snowboarding and drawing and finally my favorite nap time is between 3-4pm after school.
Why you would be a good admin: good with dealing with pubs, can within stand be called many different nicknames and I can enforce the server rules as needed. If you want to host anything except standard battle on the main server like idk a zombies event I have experience setting that up for pubs.

About yourself: An avid gamer and historian, starting these types of games with Napoleonic Wars, joined 1st Texas back in 2016 for the mod north and south, went over to war of rights with the reg, became leader in 2019, was a major player in the war of rights community until interested in the game waned, starting testing bcof the same year, helped a lot with the promotion and testing of bcof since joining the test.

Why you would be a good admin: I would look to professionalism within the confines of the FSE community first and foremost.
I would like to see the game prevail also with racism dealt with harshly. Also but not limited to ear rape- Hitler speeches- obnoxious noises AKA sound bords.
this kind of stuff I would like to ask a head admin about before proceeding with any actions.
 There needs to be someone out there looking over the voice chat.
1.I would be willing to work with all other administrators with the general consensus in mind of having the game prevail.
2.I would seek out all players I come in contact with and make sure they are having a good time.
3.I would look at each player from a nonbias viewpoint with no favoritism towards anyone.

Why you would be a good admin: I understand the difference between two players mutually having a good time while also not deriding the experience of others. I also have zero tolerance for bullshit such as harassment, trolling, racism, so on. I want a healthy server as much as everyone else does and I realize sometimes it helps to have eyes on the ground in the form of active, playing admins. About yourself:  Here a some qualities that I possess  leadership , organization , can make rosters , communication , management , maturity , discipline , helpful , professionalism, respect and strict. So the first thing is leadership. I have been in many leadership positions . I thrive in leadership positions because I feel that I can do more than what a regular admin can do. Next is organization . You have to be organized for almost everything you do. Say that you are in a situation you have to be able to organize the situation and figure everything out. You have to respect others no matter if they have a higher position or if they have a lower position . I know how to respect others no matter what rank. I treat them equally as it should be. You can’t go into a situation with the mindset that you are better than they are. Next thing is that I am a very hard worker . When I set something on my mind I complete it to the best of my ability no matter what. I have always had a stride to set goals and accomplish them. I always see through to the end. In my book quitting is not an option, only adapting , pushing through and accomplishing is. My next ability is being fair. As an admin you have to treat everyone the same . No matter if they are a higher rank or just a regular member. You have to treat others as they are a regular member. Also this is helpful in interviews because you can’t be biased. The next thing that I consider myself good at is being helpful. The next thing that I am good at is enforcing  things. You have to be able to do the right things even though it is not the most popular thing. I will always pick the right thing over the most unpopular choice. You also have to be ready for any situation that comes your way.Next I am very good at following COC. I feel that this is important because you need to go through the proper rank that way a Major doesn’t have to deal with something that a Lieutenant could do. There's a reason for COC and that reason is because there are ranks that can do certain things and you should go up the chain of command to those people. If I had a problem this is the COC that I would follow: Trial Admin-Admin-Senior Admin-Head Admin-Management/Dev. Hopefully nothing would escalate to the Management or any High Command, but there are some things that do.   Finally activity . As an admin you have to be active both in game and on ts . This is really important because the server uses both of those platforms to function.

About yourself: I have been an avid fan of history for quite a while. I grew up in a lot of historical areas in the south and enjoyed the rich history that it has. Why you would be a good admin: I don't think I will be the "best". Admins can always improve. And that is what I am looking forward too. Always improving and always trying to be fair. I think that is one of the most important qualities of an admin. Of course, reviewing the rules and ensuring I am the most up to date with the rules and the standard enforced above me.

About yourself: I have been an active contributor to linear warfare communities for 5 years. beginning with Gory's France as junior officer/ server administrator until my leave in 2021. Oversaw a battlegrounds 3 public server run by the 13th continentals primarily called to oversee line battle events. these events primarily involved public members joining small groups of regimental members to rule enforcement became a priority for 7 months. Joined Mount and Blade in mid 2020, Joined the 5th regiment of foot in late 2022 and has been attending weekly events as a small community ever since. Joined the BCOF community since the beta release due to being a regimental member under the French monk. Have attended the European Wednesday event under the 12th_VA.

Oh man, where to begin? I was afraid, I was petrified. Then BCoF came into my life and I knew that I was alright. I've been in the linebattle community for years and have be an ardent advocate for positive public experiences since day 1 back in NW 7 or so years ago. After several years in that community, leading legendary regiments, like the 2ndSAO and advocating for pubs I took a break from the organized scene. Nearly 2 years ago now, I started a Holdfast regiment, the 31e, which is now one of the largest French regiments in Holdfast, but we are ready for more. BCoF needs some work, but we are here to stay. Personally, I like to cook when I have the chance and am a pursuer of sourdough perfection. It is ALL about the proof. HMU for the best chocolate chip cookie recipe on the planet.

Why you would be a good admin:
Both my time in NW, which feels like an eternity ago and more recently, in Holdfast, I know that I have developed a skillset that lends itself to forward facing engagement with communities. I can engage with community members in a meaningful way that not only validates their concerns, but makes clear our hard standards when it comes to what is not welcome. Admins are objectively the enforcers of servers, but they are so much more. Admins represent community values, developer values, and have an unparalleled impact on the growth of a game; especially early on. I am fair-minded and invested in this community. I want it to succeed and I if I am chosen to admin I will work to ensure that all members of our community are welcomed from their first time joining a server to their 100th time and beyond.

About yourself: Im a reletively new comer to the line battle scene but was playing mount and blade and holdfast for a little over a year now and have always loved the scene. Coming to BCoF has been a wonderful experience to me as well, one that i know that ill continue to stick behind. I started as a lowley recruit in a regiment called the 31e in holdfast under the leadership of Kiri.  from there I worked up the ranks by learning everything I can, eventually becoming an officer leading side by side with Kiri. I am a coder for my career with a hobby in game development, so I love helping developers where I can.
Why you would be a good admin: Like I said before I have a good understanding of the underlinings of leadership and what it takes to help. I wasent going to apply for admin at first but was told that you guys would still like the help. With this in mind i would love to provide my assistance while also growing to become even better. Why you would be a good admin: My primary concern is making sure during events that egregious cases of rule breaking do not ruin the fun and enjoyment of other players who attend events with the intention of following the rules and rules being enforced. Nothing bothers me like a rogue player trolling another regiment by team killing or generally trolling them, ruining people's event experience. The more competent eyes seeing what's happening during the events that would otherwise go undetected and subject to simple he said/she said, the better. Additionally, there are many trolls in the public servers that just try to mess with people, especially for people trying to practice artillery skills in the more dynamic environment of a pub server. I have experience both passively assisting event admins and playing the watchful eye that runs the entire event, and I have hosted many successful Napoleonic Wars events that had 180+ people.
Will you be able to help administer the Public Line battle or other possible events on the official servers?: Unsure about time commitment of being an active spectator admin, certainly there to assist as things come up while in line however.

About yourself: Well, I've been leading a regiment since 2016, and since 2011 played Napoleonic Wars until the conversion to Battle Cry of Freedom with the free version and later full game.  During my time as a regimental leader, I lead many events, mostly in NW and was known for running my Saturday linebattle for around 2 years rather well until NW starting slowing down.  I know continue to lead the successor to my former regiment and continuing in BCoF now.
Why you would be a good admin: Well, aside from the years of experience, I'm not only fair, but active on the servers.  When I'm on the servers, usually (not all the time), there are no admins and some people can be rather uhm.. well.. special.  The lack of admins sometimes ends badly with trashy language and such, which is something I'd love to stop.  Not only am I fair as I noted, but I also am very aware of how people can be afraid to ask for help from people and look to an admin for assistance.  This I believe brings me into line for the new people who can have issues and would like some quick, friendly, and honest assistance or work.

I love this game and want to see it survive for a long time and, to do that, the public servers need to be a good environment for new and old players to enjoy the game. I would have zero tolerance for all of the unsavory behavior that can occur on the server (particularly that on the Confederate side), yet I would be fair and give people a fair chance before enacting a real punishment

About yourself: I am the leader of the IV Corps. I play mostly CB pub games and have quite a reputation in the official CB servers. I have been playing this game since it was released have not stopped since.
Why you would be a good admin: My Regiment plays in the CB official servers most of the day and there arent any admins on most of the time to enforce some of the rule breakers.

Applying for (NA1 or EU1): this kind of a problem since the few players today just randomly joins any commander battle offical server than have more than 5ppl inside. most likely. i have to request for all those commander server (cuz you dont know all of the sudden which populated up!)

About yourself: as an not-too-old NW player (around 5 years). i am so delighted BCOF is out and make huge improvement on everything.especially in my beloved commander-battle mode. so i give up everything on NW to relocate myself to BCOF.thus leading to the creation of GA_KSCS. although not a early-ahpla tester, i do join in march 1st pub. then devote myself entirely to the game untill&still now. the commander battles. root back in NW, always seriously lacking in adminting. this somehow carrys into BCOF and still today. now,with the ongoing shrink of the game day by day.i decide to help out with my reach.
Why you would be a good admin:i knows commander battle well. i do more than 1000h in NW commander and 700h in bcof commander.i knows how to maintain things enjoyable because i already admins all CN community Commander battle event&battle since begining of pub test in march.thus i want to save commander battle from lack of adminting.

About yourself: Not too much to say to be honest, i have played MB NW very regularly and after that a lot of holdfast until i discovered this wonderfull game 3 months ago tried the free weekend first and have decided to buy it after that, and have been been regularly playing it ever since,mostly on the all modes servers but sometimes also events and commander battles.
Why you would be a good admin: Im already pretty familliar with the admin tools since i have made a few maps for this game(one of them is going to be on a new server thats going to be revealed in a few days or weeks,not allowed to say anything more though.I am also very active from 6pm to 12 AM+ CET thats exactly the time where mostly no admins are on the server and it mostly needs fixing for bots plus im sure i could make the server a little bit more fun for people when admining it with little mini events and the occasional siege map when theres enough players.
Will you be able to help administer the Public Linebattle or other Possible events on the official server?: I could admin everything as long as it is from 6pm to a little bit after 12 am.(sometimes im online until 2 am)

About yourself: I've been around the block a few times, started off in regular Warband then got into NW for few years being in the 29th with Hugo then going around to a few different other regiments before eventually leading my own. I'm a fairly easy going guy with a decent level head.
Why you would be a good admin: As I will list later, I have years on years of admin experience in a multitude of different games. I follow the rules and make sure other's do as well as it gives both sides a fair fight. I can make sound and judgement decisions on the spot and I'm unbiased and unprejudiced.

Previous Experience (if any): Well let's see, during my Warband days I used to be an admin for the Persistent World server's, also used to run my own events during NW and also helped administrate multiple event's during my NW time as well. As for other games, I would say I have roughly a total of 6 years combined in terms of administration experience.
