40th Wednesday Infantry Linebattle
-> 160 slots || Only Line Infantry || Low Ping || Flat Maps <-
Time: Every Wednesday 8:00 P.M. EST
Introduction
This event will be hosted on the 40th's in-game server every Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. EST. Our goal is to create a robust and fun event whilst holding strongly to the rules. We promise flat maps and low ping during our linebattle every Wednesday. As stated above, this event is strictly line infantry only. This is done to maximize everyone's enjoyment for line on line combat without worrying about sudden ambushes from specialists that can interrupt a heated firefight or melee. Also, we will play on medium maps only so rounds don't become too drawn-out. The duration of the linebattle will be played out on one flat map for one hour. If you are interested in participating in this event, please see the application form below. We hope to have you with us.
Rules & Guidelines
1. No FOL/FOC - Nobody, whether they be a ranker or an officer may fire their musket or pistol out of line or in the charge. Reloading out of line or in the charge is also prohibited. Officers and NCO's are expected to keep order within their line to ensure this rule doesn't get broken.
2. Officer Targeting is Not Allowed - Do not aim for officers or shoot them, officers can only be shot if they are charging or are not in a line. Every officer is expected to create distance between himself and the line when halted, to minimize officer casualties. We realize officer targeting is random and sometimes not intentional, offenders will only be slain if this rule is broken continually throughout a single linebattle.
3. Only Line Infantry Formations - Once again, this is a line infantry only event. Skirmisher and light infantry formations will not be accepted. Every regiment is expected to form a proper line without any major gaps. Half-man spacing is allowed, but only to a certain extent. If a regiment is reduced to less than 3 men, they must join a friendly line.
4. Do Not Separate Yourself From Your Regiment - Stay with your line. Both in formations and during a charge, everyone is expected to stay with their regiment. If everyone of that player's regiment is dead, that player must join a friendly line. (i.e. No 'ramboing')
5. Common Courtesy & Respect Is Expected - Do not instigate fights or insult other regiments or members. This includes bringing unnecessary issues and conflicts that are not related to the linebattle. Global chat is allowed, but use it responsibly. An admin's decision is final, treat them with respect. Remember, we are here to have fun.
6. For maps with Structures - When we play on these types of maps, regiments will NOT be able to garrison buildings. However, if you so desire, you can hide behind buildings but not inside them, the no FOL/FOC rule is still in affect. In addition, regiments may use stone walls or fences for cover, this includes crouching behind them. Despite being behind a wall/fence, regiments must move and fire in a line.
Failure to abide by these rules will result in the offender being removed from the event. If the problem persists, then the offending regiment will be removed.
