Americans are always full of diverse cultures and heritage, why does he represent Poland instead of his country he was born in?

President Jimmy Carter called him "the greatest soldier in American history".  He was a man with immense courage in the face of overwhelming odds and demonstrated to the world what freedom really means.  This man was Lt. Colonel Matt Urban, a Polish American.
And i've read enough.
I didn't expect anything else from you  ;D

The only western nation ever to conquer Moskou and Russia?
Poland has only been a shitty country ever since the commies destroyed her. Just along the rest of eastern europa.

All history lessons apart, this guy is not a Pole, but an American of Polish decentage. Stop with the Polish nationalism - There's nothing wrong with making some posts on Polishs subject but this one is just so obviously nationalistic.

There should be a thread for all soldiers who died for their country during that horrible war, not just one thread made by a Polish guy for a Polish guy...

I think this would escalate..
"No, the soldiers from my nation were better."
"Ours fought more bravely."
"No, your nation is shit"

The Victoria Cross, in comparison to the Medal of Honor, is given out very rarely. Particularly these days, only VC's I've known of to be received have been posthumously because the acts have been that courageous. Anyone who doesn't die from the acts gets something less, like that Gurkha who fended off 30 Insurgents!

But the Medal of Honor.. Carry an Injured Afghan onto a Helicopter with no helmet on and you qualify straight away, but wait, you can only receive it when the President wants to look good so he can stand a chance of getting re-elected. ;)
Guess who's back..... #BangOn!
