And now for something completely different.

More of a question for Olafson, but I am posting it here in case others have some ideas as well.

For the guys doing French impressions, where do you buy uniform buttons? I am trying to get a full set of 85e buttons for a habit-veste I have ordered but every place I go to its either the incorrect ones or they don't have any left in stock. I know there's people that can get them somewhere so I wanna know where, so I can always order some myself if I ever have to.

Has anyone here actually watched Gotham here?

Quite interesting to see alot of characters from a different POV imo.

Gotham is really, really good. I like how it manages to do things slightly different than what you would expect at times but still keeps true to all the fundementals from the comics. Casting for most character is also perfect. Ben McKenzie is perfect as a younger version of Gordon and I also really like David Mazouz as teenager Bruce Wayne trying to find a purpose in life after the death of his parents. You can slowly but steadily see him becoming more and more like the Batman we know as the show progresses. Only thing I would say is that season 1 is a bit slow and the show doesn't take off properly until season 2.

I enjoyed Origins a lot. Gotta say, I was kinda hoping for a sequel set in Augustus era Rome. It's about time they start sticking to their main characters for more than just 1 game and I really liked Bayek and Aya and wouldn't mind seeing more of them and the early years of the Brotherhood. The ending of Origins made me hopeful they would finally go that way.

From what I read, most Solar Panel companies in the US are against because other countries research levels and their capability to create a steady supply of Solar Panels is much further advanced than the US'. That would mean that US based companies might potentially not live up to the demand and/or makes importing parts or complete panels abroad rather costly and so makes buying Solar Panels more expensive for the average citizen as well because of this.

Merkel's CDU is a Christian-Conservative centre-right party that does also pursue a market Liberal economic policy, which I believe is what is being refered to here.

the tens of thousands of farmers that supplied food to the German troops, thousands of Dutch women who served as nurses, tens of thousands of Dutch bureaucrats working in some capacity for the Reichskommissariat Niederlande, and tens of thousands of firefighters and police officers that were paid by the Reich.

I'll bite.

Most of those people were doing the exact same job they did as before the Germans came. The difference was that their employer was now the German Reich instead of the Dutch government. That doesn't make them accomplices, that makes them ordinary citizens going on with their lives as best as they could in war time. Even if you disagreed with the Germans, you still wouldn't quit your job. Life is hard enough as it is in wartime, you really don't want to add the problems of being unemployed and with no income on top of that. Worse still, you had a pretty good chance of being deported to work in some factory making armaments in Germany if you were unemployed.

But seriously, how in your eyes (if you even are serious, which I doubt at this point) is a firefighter responsible for helping the Germans exterminate the Jews just because he is paid by them? What!? That is saying an office clerk in Washington is responsible for the death toll in the Iraq War because he works for the Government that did that.

FACT: 90% of Dutch Jews perished in the holocaust.
FACT: Over 10,000 Dutchmen WILLINGLY volunteered for the SS and served in the Nederlandsche SS, 23rd SS Volunteer Panzer Grenadier Division Nederland, SS Volunteer Grenadier Brigade Landstorm Nederland and 4th SS Volunteer Panzergrenadier Brigade Nederland.
FACT: Over 100,000 Dutchmen WILLINGLY joined the Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging. These 100,000 openly collaborated with the Germans and turned their countrymen over for death in concentration camps.
FACT: The Henneicke Column WILLINGLY captured Jews and turned them over to the Nazis. They captured and were directly responsible for the deaths of 10,000 Dutch Jews who perished in the Holocaust.
FACT: Between 25,000 and 30,000 Dutchmen WILLINGLY volunteered to serve in the Heer.
FACT: The LKP (Nationale Knokploeg), the largest Dutch resistance group, had only a measly 550 members.

BONUS FACT: The survival rate of Dutch Jews at around 10% is substantially lower than Belgium (60% of Jews survived), France (75% of Jews survived) and Denmark (99% of Jews survived).

Never forget the enthusiastic and eager Dutch collaboration with the Nazis which directly resulted in the death of 125,000+ Dutch Jews.

You know, next time you continously yell FACT FACT FACT, at least state your sources.

Funny enough, they have a surprisingly varied mix of speakers from both the left and the right wing and pro- and anti- immigration.

Purely as just a game its not very good, It's unfinished and kinda buggy. But honestly, it's still a ton of fun to play with friends. The experience alone makes it worth it, despite the massive flaws it has.

Having a more Dark Souls-esque combat system actually sounds very appealing. You might have convinced me to just go for it and try the Skyrim SE.

Haven't played in years tbh. I am somewhat tempted to get the special edition (didn't get it for free because I never bought the DLCs for the standard Skyrim edition) for only 20 euros this sale. Despite me hating how bland and boring the world and the characters were, I appreciated the freedom to explore and dick around when it first came out. Playing again with DLC, 64Bit support and a bunch of new mods sounds tempting. I'm just affraid I'll get bored quickly because of a 'been there, done that' feeling.

Today the day reviews cannot be trusted anymore. Its all commercial and fake. Therefore Im asking it here on these forums.

1. That's a bit of a generalization.
2. Reviewers often have a lot more experience in this stuff and have more stuff to compare to than most here.
3. There's always such a thing as user reviews, unless you think those are bought as well.

Anyway, the first question I always ask when I see the word 'gaming-laptop' is: do you really need it? Ask your friend that question first. Because unless he is planning on moving around a lot, switching places or he needs a portable workplace when he's not gaming, then there is no reason to get a laptop. PCs do everything a laptop does but better and cheaper. So he does absolutely -need- a laptop or is a PC just fine as well?

Yes, it does have a story that you follow through. And you can play it alone or with friends. About a year ago they removed level requirements for zones so everything scales to your level, plus you can also quest together with people from other factions.

Kinda. It's still an MMO so it's a bit more linear than the usual Elder Scrolls game. But in my opinion they did a good job of creating an Elder Scrolls experience in an MMO environement.
