Looks wonderful! If you don't mind me asking though, why haven't you put the mod up for development here or shown this before? It clearly has alot of progress  :o

Because I had no plans to release it to the public, to be honest. Its mostly based on North and South btw, with United States, Mexican Republic and Native Tribes as factions.

Might finish it, if needed :)
Will it be released?

I will be updating this soon and adding more mods to the list. As of now Festung Breslau will also again be having another patch. Another WW2 mod will also be released in the future that contains all major factions and some minor of WW2 (no tanks though) that is much more stable that Festung and (a lot more fun for multiplayer events) might have a single player.

Looser is more historically accurate but that is too much work. Just wait for WoR and buy it.......spending money always helps you get more of what you want  :)

3) Historical Background
Spoiler
The 83rd Pennsylvania was a volunteer infantry regiment in the Union Army during the American Civil War. They participated in almost every major battle in the East, including Seven Days Battles, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Petersburg and Appomattox Court House.

As one of four regiments in the 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, V Corps, Army of the Potomac, they fought alongside the 20th Maine, 44th New York, and the 16th Michigan in the spirited defense of Little Round Top in which regiment commander Colonel Strong Vincent was mortally wounded.

The 83rd Pennsylvania suffered the second-highest number of battle deaths among Union Army infantry regiments during the war, behind only the 5th New Hampshire.

During Gettysburg, they were the regiment next to the 20th Maine. They held the top of Little Round Top where the Colonel, Strong Vincent mounted a large boulder, Vincent brandished a riding crop given to him by his wife and shouted to his men "Don't give an inch!" A bullet struck him through the thigh and the groin and he fell. Due to the determination of the 20th Maine, the 44th New York, the 83rd Pennsylvania and the 16th Michigan Infantry Regiments, the Union line held against the Confederate onslaught. Vincent was carried from the hill to a nearby farm, where he lay dying for the next five days, unable to be transported home due to the severity of his injury.
The commander of the Army of the Potomac, Maj. Gen. George G. Meade, recommended Vincent for promotion to brigadier general on the evening of July 2. The promotion was dated July 3, 1863, but it is doubtful that Vincent knew about the honor before he died. The promotion was not approved by Congress, and it still hasn't been discussed.

History
Spoiler
The Continental Morgan Guard,  or company A 31st Virginia Militia, began organizing on  June 22, 1855 in Winchester, Frederick county, VA.  However, they adopted the more appropriate July 4, 1855 as their birthday.  The unit was named  to perpetuate the honor of  General Daniel Morgan of Revolutionary War fame.  The first captain of the company was Hugh Holmes lee who resigned in 1856.

The unit adopted uniforms resembling the pattern of the Continental Army.  The coats were made a blue wool with buff cassimire trim .

On April 17, 1861 Virginia seceded from the Union and Governor Letcher called out the militia to defend the state.  On the 18th the C.M.G. enrolled at Winchester for one year of service.  They would become Company K of the 5th Regiment, and had 133 officers and men.  John Avis of Jefferson County was it's first Captain.  They were enlisted in to Confederate service on June 20, 1861.  These men would see many battles with Stonewall Jackson and the Army of Northern VA.

Again the 26thNC managed to organize the Nazi forces thus demolishing the thinly spread Russians. D-Day map will be done for next week.

Please read the rules. If there are any questions ask during sign ups. Regiments can split into multiple squads (minimum of 3 per squad) if they wish however you must inform the person doing sign ups of your total numbers, your amount of squads and if you want to request a specially that would replace the SMG in your squad you may, however , you might not be approved.

Must have At least 6 in your squad to request the following specialties
Snipers (max of 2) can be requested and if granted will replace the two SMG in the squad.
HMG (max of 1) can be requested and if granted will replace the two SMG in the squad
