Title: Cavalry Speed
Post by: Moldplayer on November 13, 2013, 03:22:04 am
One thing that always irks me the most when playing as cav is their speed on foot. I have no problem with cavalry being somewhat slower on foot then infantry, but frankly it can be a bit ridiculous, as if you are dismounted  your only option in a fight to back pedal and hope your sword can reach the enemy (which is rare as you are likely to be facing a musket) it makes cavalry clunky to play and use as they have no use beyond their horse. I understand the purpose of this, however  in my honest opinion it does not work.

I ask that cavalry on foot are made faster, not equal to infantry (with the exception of dragoons who should be equal) but at least be able to have some kind of footrace with line infantry.

Thank you for your consideration

Yea but you gotta consider that the cavalry sometimes wear heavy armor and that should be a penalty but i do agree that speed for cavalry on foot like the hussar for example should move almost as fast as an infantry

1. grab a horse.
2. sit on it
3. try to make a sharp turn in full galop.

I can guarantee you will be disappointed by the result.

I would say get the old speed of MM :). But much people couldn't ride a Hussar in that mod. Might people think its to hard.

Yea I think the hussars should get their dismounted speed buffed a little bit considering they wear almost no armour
