So apparently a bunch of people have started petitions to allow several states to seceed.
Seriously.
To be clear: "States" have not, people within the states have. These petitions have been around pretty much after every presidential election in the past 40 years, and have not reached the ballot anywhere. There are a lot of paranoid people who think that the government is overstepping its bounds, such as gun control despite the fact that increased gun control has not even been proposed by the administration.
