There is a lot going on that can affect the league like people buying teams and players leaving their teams just because they cant handle losing a few games in a 15 game season. There are reasons that I and a lot of people want some changes. They don't need to happen now. This is the first season and it's meant to test things out.
Things are ACTUALLY happening. Yoshie and Theodin have joined Atomic. 4 players were released from Atomic and are now looking for a team. Raf, Suns, and Yolo are leaving their team as well. Lawbringer and Windflower are apparently trying to buy teams.
There are other ways that this can be handled and I believe my solution is rational and wouldn't hurt to try. Every major professional league follows the format I'd like to implement. I hope this answered your questions.

Superteams are teams loaded with high level talent. You typically form a superteam through free agency, which this transfer period definitely feels more like. It is fair to say that adding Yoshie, Theodin, and Yoloswag makes Atomic a superteam. Would it be better to call it an extremely talented team? Maybe, but that doesn't really matter.
In regards to Aftershock breaking up, it is directly related to losing. If they were undefeated this wouldn't be a problem. It is just natural in sports for a losing team, especially with good players, to become dysfunctional at some point. That is why trades are made. They simply could have traded away the player they felt was ruining their team, instead of all leaving it.
I also don't think that people buying teams is bad at all. Like you said, it is what they do with the team afterwards. If someone buys a team that is successful and then chooses to gut it, why? These bad decisions could also lead to problems, but I am not too worried about that. It is the owner's team and they can do what they think will take their team to a higher level.
I completely agree with you in terms of the timing of this situation. It was poorly timed but this is what the first season is all about. We can identify the problems and attempt to fix them.
Had 4 million left over after paying off the league from our 1 win against awakened. Pedro: 11, Toxic: 19, Maccle, 16.5 (gone down in price), Pinoy: 14.5 = 61 + 4.25 (Idk what the exact but I know it's at least 4) = 65 or some decimal. Waste and I did all the math before hand so yeah. It didn't help that Maccle went down by 4 million as well.

The league is being tarnished by this trade window. Wolfpack as a team is the shining example of what this league should be. A group of players brought together through the draft process and finding success together. WPC was meant to run similarly to professional sports. Players should not have more power than the teams. There is no need for multi-year contracts, but players should be obligated to play with the team they drafted for the season. If they don't want to be on the team, they can work it out with the team captain and find a suitable trade. If the captain doesn't want to trade the player, the player can hold out and refuse to play. That would be more similar to how it is done in professional sports.

The league is going to become even more top-heavy than it is now. Players are leaving the teams they were drafted by as if this was a free agency period and not a trade/transfer period. There is a lot going on that can affect the league like people buying teams and players leaving their teams just because they cant handle losing a few games in a 15 game season. There are reasons that I and a lot of people want some changes. They don't need to happen now. This is the first season and it's meant to test things out.
Things are ACTUALLY happening. Yoshie and Theodin have joined Atomic. 4 players were released from Atomic and are now looking for a team. Raf, Suns, and Yolo are leaving their team as well. Lawbringer and Windflower are apparently trying to buy teams.
There are other ways that this can be handled and I believe my solution is rational and wouldn't hurt to try. Every major professional league follows the format I'd like to implement. I hope this answered your questions.
So what? That's not really a "superteam" and none of the other stuff is league tarnishing. Raf, Suns and Yolo aren't looking for other teams because of a few losses, they just don't wish to deal with the spastic way some of their members deal with losing. And lawbringer/windflower buying teams isn't inherently bad, just depends what they do with them.
The only thing I'll say is the timing of this is totally and completely autistic as the first set of matches hasn't even finished and people are already able to drop players/sign new ones. It should've been held during the mid-season.
Superteams are teams loaded with high level talent. You typically form a superteam through free agency, which this transfer period definitely feels more like. It is fair to say that adding Yoshie, Theodin, and Yoloswag makes Atomic a superteam. Would it be better to call it an extremely talented team? Maybe, but that doesn't really matter.
In regards to Aftershock breaking up, it is directly related to losing. If they were undefeated this wouldn't be a problem. It is just natural in sports for a losing team, especially with good players, to become dysfunctional at some point. That is why trades are made. They simply could have traded away the player they felt was ruining their team, instead of all leaving it.
I also don't think that people buying teams is bad at all. Like you said, it is what they do with the team afterwards. If someone buys a team that is successful and then chooses to gut it, why? These bad decisions could also lead to problems, but I am not too worried about that. It is the owner's team and they can do what they think will take their team to a higher level.
I completely agree with you in terms of the timing of this situation. It was poorly timed but this is what the first season is all about. We can identify the problems and attempt to fix them.
I know for a fact that's not the case with Aftershock.
And I have no idea how a team that started the league in debt is affording 3 players @ 64M when the 4 players they're getting rid of are worth 55M

Not true. When Jorge first brought it up in ts Theodin was instantaneously a "no." I had a long talk with yoshie and once he saw theodin put up a trade request so did he because he was following theodin (which he told me several times). Yoshie didn't care for the contract at all and wasn't too worried about it until Theodin was worried about me.
how it went was at first it was only the contract was the "issue" for him. then as I spoke with him and I kept asking why he would leave, all of these other "problems" came out even though none of them made sense to the previous atmosphere of the team for the past 3-4 weeks. won our last 5/6 scrims and officials. no one had complaints at our debriefs after matches where we talked about getting better. Then all of a sudden at the trading window these problems with the "our team system doesn't work" and "I can't be calling shots," and a few more. which is quite baffling when he had nothing to say at all after matches and when we were winning over and over and getting better overall. everyone was very happy after our wins and theodin (as well as other members of the team) complementing each other on what we did well during the match.
all of this to avoid the fact he wanted to suck off russian on a 71st team. he could have just been honest on why he wanted to leave instead of lying his way out of it. :-\

In the logs we schedule the match after I state that I will cancel the match if something doesn't work out. Jorge responds "Alright" making me think that he is acknowledging what I have said and is okay with it. Apparently I wasn't clear because Jorge claims that's not what he meant but doesn't say I can't cancel it. Numerous times other teams have canceled on Atomic with Jorges consent so I figured it was no big deal seeing as we still had 5 days until the deadline. Where I was wrong I guess is that a new rule was added saying that you cannot cancel a scheduled match unless both teams agree, though we were not alerted of this and it's not explicitly stated anywhere in the rules.
So, in the end Atomic was forced into a forfeit which I find extremely unfair, of course I am biased towards my team though. Looking for other opinions on the matter as I hope maybe this can be changed since it really puts Atomic in a tough spot and the deadline isn't for another few days yet.

My thoughts are that if the rule prior to this was only rule #99. If your team can not manage to bring 5 members to a match then you may play with 4 but not any less then 4. A team with less then 4 players will be forced to forfeit if they can not field a 4th for 5th player 5 minutes after the scheduled match start time.
In no way in that rule does it imply if there is fair notice that one cannot cancel a match. Nor is it even implied. The absolute most that can be implied from this rule is that if a team misses their scheduled match time without notice they be forced to forfeit.
While it is the player's job to know and adhere to the rules of a tournament, if a rule is added during the tournament it is the job of the staff to alert the competitors. If that did not happen, the forfeit should be cancelled out.
Also, on another note, not being allowed to cancel matches if you give advance notice is absolutely bonkers, especially if the only thing preventing it from being a forfeit is the other teams decision. No team is not going to force their opponents into a forfeit, it's all to their gain. You are putting powers that should belong solely to the administration in the arms of the players.

Because of the misunderstanding on both sides I would also have asked each team to consider rescheduling the match. But it’s not my tournament. I think there are valid points and fault on both sides. In my opinion, Jorge shouldn’t have really brought up a forfeit until he had exhausted all other options.
By that same standard, however, I feel that Russian and Wastee shouldn’t have mentioned dropping out of the league at all until a forfeit was officially listed on the record. Until that point there was room for talk and working things out through negotiation. Now I feel that it’s kind of set and done. Oh well. Back to RuneScape I go!

Aftershock members that were present on sunday decided to quit the league after a similar situation to atomic's cropped up. We were also forced to forfeit. In short, we were expecting 6 players but only got 3(winters had personal problems, killershark had a work hazard, montoy had siege tourney that we didnt know about). In the past teams were able to reschedule when unexpected things like this happened, or at the very least get some delay. Instead Jorge tells us that there has always been an automatic forfeit after 5 minutes of a team not having enough members to play AND there has always been no rescheduling. He told us that he was just now starting to enforce the rules, which is pretty stupid considering they were never enforced previously which lead to teams either winning or losing in the past and also teams rescheduling to a more suitable date. I.E. when aftershock and atomic had trouble agreeing on dates to play, Waste and I would reschedule according to our situation(as our players were spontaneously on sometimes) and if we didn't have the players to play on the scheduled date then we moved it. There was also the time that aftershock played infamous months ago and infamous only showed up with 2 players at the start time. There was no automatic forfeit forced on them back then, and who is actually gonna do them like that anyway unless Jorge or a referee is there to enforce it. Using this theory, if Jorge had actually been enforcing the rules back then, then infamous should have had an automatic forfeit to aftershock. The league was supposed to be about having fun because lets bet honest, nobody but US watches these matches and nobody but US cares. 1)There was no attempt to reschedule with us at a reasonable time before the match, all I heard about was you guys asking Havoc to do a 3v5, and Rune asked through Maple for him and me to do the entire match via duels. A siege tournament/event is not a good excuse to miss a match, the minimum is 4 and you guys had 4 players on, just 1 felt like doing something else.
2)In the Infamous situation 2 months ago, Oatmeal put the idea up about rescheduling an hour before the match because he (who wasn't even available that night) thought we weren't going to have enough players, which you said no to lol. There was no point asking infamous for a reschedule as Jorge had made it abundantly clear to us that there was an automatic forfeit 5 minutes after start time and we couldn't reschedule a declared match at this point. Plus we had already asked to postpone the match 30 minutes(so at 9:30 instead of 9) the day before.
2. At 9, it was the 5 of us against two of you. We waited 20-30 minutes for the rest of you guys to get on. I don't remember which two of infamous it was, but I am inclined to think it was dj and yourself because I know Anthony, Charles, and Havoc showed up in that waiting period. So yes infamous would have been given a forfeit as we waited 20-30 minutes for the rest to get on and by that time it would have been an automatic forfeit(had Jorge been enforcing back then). You can ask the other ppl that were on my team as well.

One of the reasons Aftershock is dead is because of the rules being changed mod season without any communication. Rules should be changed, yes, but do it at the end to not fuck over teams all of a sudden. The same situation happened for Aftershock, where one ruleset was in effect for a match regarding forfeit and then a different ruleset for the same type of situation was enforced causing the matches to turn out differently. Adding or changing rules every 2 weeks to try and fix an issue is completely dumb. You don't see that in other esports or sports, it's changed before/after a season starts
