April 2021 The 33rd is as ever, openly Recruiting! We host six unique events to attend alongside numerous others specifically scheduled each week, with no commitment beyond attending one event a week to stay on our Roster. We maintain three active companies - Line with Lights and Cavalry to support, with 125 members on the strength as of April 2021. Over the course of March EIC was our main tournament focus, playing all but one of our matches. Overall we were pleased with our performance and improvements made to our 1v1 competency, sadly however we did not make knock-outs with a couple of close 4-6 losses suffered. We play 17pp on a regular basis and have massive respect for the 77y so these were certainly well earned wins for them both and we wish them the best of luck. It has certainly been some brilliant practice in a format we play very little and should serve us well when the 2v2 tournament kicks off! The regiments A & B teams have played some 24 matches throughout the month, keeping in practice and our schedule looking nice and healthy. Casual play has also been stepped up with our involvement in the 92nd's Monday Mod event which has been an instant hit, alongside a new event we have announced to start towards the end of April - our Friday Campaign Event (link below) which we are hosting with the 32nd. Congratulations are also in order, to our newly commissioned Lieutenant Alec! Here's to a good April all... God Save the King & his 33rd Regiment! Sunday Line Battle Event - 19:00GMT - - 160-200 players - Weekly Event with a single slot of Lights & Cavalry on each team, with majority Lines. No FiC or RiC.	Wednesday Conquest Event - 19:00GMT - - 140-180 players - Conquest with scripts to enforce conquest rules. Alternates week on week with our Historical event.
Wednesday Historical Event - 19:00GMT - - 160-200 players - Replaces our Wednesday Conquest event twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. A mix of Gameplay and Roleplay orientated rounds, to play out various historical scenarios in depth. Ranged damage reduction (70%) to reduce shooting casualties (double rank)	Saturday Line-only Event - 19:00GMT - - 160-200 players - Weekly Line-only event using a range of Custom maps. No FiC or RiC & OA is eligible for a revive.
Thursday Double-rank Event (Monthly) - 19:00GMT - - 160-200 players - Monthly Line-only, Double-rank event using a range of Custom maps. RP Ruleset & Ranged damage reduction (70%) to reduce shooting casualties (double rank)	Friday Campaign Event - 19:00GMT - - 160-200 players - Bi-weekly, Double-rank event using unique custom maps to fight an interactive campaign across 40 territories. Siege & Battle rounds using RP Ruleset & Ranged damage reduction (70%) to reduce shooting casualties (double rank)

Loved referring your match against the 17pp & FKG, it's always going to be frustrating to lose such close matches and have them costing you a potential qualification to the next stage but at least the 33rd is among this very tiny circle of regiments that can compete, have a real enthusiasm/thrive for it when it happens but not make a big deal out of a loss such as this and not let it affect the overall troops' morale whatsoever. Massive props to the whole regiment for that, it's not as easy as some people may think it is.

Thanks mate, hopefully the event will live up to expectations!! We have 40 maps for all the territories at the moment that we've scraped together but some do need breathing a bit of life into them to make the memorable - will see how far we can get before we start

Ah yes flag 4, my favourite was a good event tbf, lots of back and forth. Maps feel a bit fresher each time aswell as we don't play the same ones to death as we used to.
