This is my first map (I'm bad) and so it won't be that good and there might be a few glitches. Modes are meant for either battle or TDM, takes a while to travel around.

Some really quick advice here. ;)

- Don't use the darkish green. Use the texture that the original map had. (Middle mouse button to change it to that).
- Use Earth, or Steppe texture to make roads. Believe me, it will look better.


Just really some basic lay-out advice. Hope it will help you to improve!  :D

Using the dark green "turf" texture is better in some cases. First of all it eliminates all flora the default grass generates, therefore increasing FPS. Secondly, it looks good. ;)

Hmm. Seeing his map, and what's on it. FPS wouldn't be a problem, with or without grass. You can even turn it off in your graphical options.

And I rather personal see the turf rather used for marshes. etc. Seeing he's trying to get a field. (What I presume) the grass would be the best.
