Napoleonic Military Paintings/Sketches/Uniform Plates
« on: August 27, 2014, 06:40:14 am »
I dont know about you folk but I love millitary paintings and plates. I have a 1.2 gig folder containing 2,384 pictures I have saved over the last three years. Surely there must be others who share my passion for some good ol Karl Rochling?

Post you favorites.

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

Well plates or normally strictly associated with sketches primarily showcasing uniform. Lady Butlers painting of the 2nd North British Dragoons wouldn't necessarily fall under that category.

Of course, I also think lines should be able to move in double rank without having emotional breakdowns.

I think this painting made after period sketches (by the same artists) can be considered showcasing a uniform. I'm not gonna pass on an opportunity to post these sexy fuckers.

The Dutch might have kicked ass, they still mostly dressed as plebs anyways, don't bother.
