I hope it shall be 1 per regiment were u can select between a sniper or a mg but its up to the event hoster. Heavy mg can be a regiment dedicated to that only but not the LMG.

France didn't have dedicated assault units like the Germans. The closest thing they have to them were nettoyeur de tranchée, trench sweepers. They were used to take out enemy strong points, conduct raids, mop up stragglers, and screen the main force while it moves through enemy trenches. They did their incredibly dangerous jobs with grenades, knives, and pistols. Among their comrades, they were called Zigouilleurs, meaning killers. So if you thought German stormtroopers were badass...

The rules I have in mind for my event would be that one regiment is assigned as machine gun regiment and they may field 1 MG and 1 ammo carrier per 30 opposing players. So for a 100 vs 100 there would be 3 machine guns per side, with supporting infantry from the balance of their regiments.
