The plan is that we make something that people want to play. If you play NaS there's plenty of people playing around 400+ I personally get 25 attendance with my regiment so mod activity isn't an issue. As I said, something fun and new, it'll be a regiment based mod pretty much. We have some plans for pubbers and a twist on siege and some fun things.
I personally would love to see regiments using double column and we plan to work all the weapons, unit and maps around this idea. When we have a beta ready regiments (not naughty ones) will be invited to play in a weekend testing event, if they think its honestly shit then we'll have to make some changes.
If anyone wants to make signatures i'd happily put them on the front page.yus me. where reward. 5 credits pls.

A silly idea I would love to see someday, some crazy feature where if three or more people within like 1-man spacing of each other fire a relatively crisp volley, they get an accuracy bonus. I'd imagine that being pretty difficult to pull off though (in terms of programming).
Otherwise yeah, more inaccuracy please, I love not getting killed from across the map.

We want people to be scared of vollies. Ambush will work like the scenes from the last of the mohicans, 1st and last battle depending on the map. Trees, bushes and other things can be broken the same way a dummie is. Using vollies will smoke the colonial/british scum out of their hiding spots. Balance for this gamemode will be in favour of the Attackers, they must get the supply train to the front across the map (160/40) defenders can spawn twice in 2 locations again depending on the map.
In Linebattles we want to incourage double column, regiments will have to learn how to hold and form lines. We plan to add a bayonet charge with it's own pace, so that's fun. Muskets in WaTs will be very inaccurate, we want people to survive vollies and enjoy charging the enemy. Lets say a line of 20 men fires a volley, 2 will hit and 1 will outright kill just to soften your enemy up. I asked you plenty of times to show me stuff you've done and you came up dry. Even now you don't show people what you've made just screenshots of North and South. I did offer help after you Pm'd me. Once we started talking and I did some investigating into TCoL I could see it hadn't gotten anywhere. I did say i'd help but I rather spend my time making something of my own, thanks for the GL.

You'd be surprised how often this happened in reality. Linnen and cotton (most trousers were made of this at that time period)teared up eventually if you were in the first line and had to crouch down constantly when firing volleys. That's why the use of woolen over-the-knee gaitors started to become more common in this era, and the British eventually switched from cotton to woolen trousers in the Napoleonic Wars.
Now that you mention it, you are correct. Dunno how I got cotton in my mind. It was linnen and broadcloth, I've even read reports of canvas and denim being used in the 1790's.

I agree with tharan, and he is just asking. I have seen way to many mods die. Only survivor is north and South. Im sure your secret gamemode will keep people occupied. But will it starve out after people have played enough, well my opinion: a couple of fanboys wont keep it alive. Be sure to update it now and then to keep it alive.

At the moment a 50 man bot line at 100 yards only gets 5 kills, add in a 1/4 - 1/6 chance of misfire ye musket will be shit. Misfires will get annoying real quick, when you've got a little shit charging you in melee and you can shoot him you misfire and he stabs you I bet you'd rage.

Have you changed anything with the bot AI? As in them charging you in say, custom battles, instead of having to charge them. Or making them actually volley instead of awkwardly look at you and move constantly. Sorry if it's a dumb question, not sure if you can change that at all.

We'll have sep factions so it feels like you're playing French and not just the American Bitches, and like wise for the Hessians and not all battles were fought together. Freedom is key. At the moment in the public version we have planned will allow you to play Hessian/British together, French NA the same, in the final version it'll be 20 + units for each.

How about you add, like in Blood & Iron, one troop type, and on the militia class replace the Flag Bearer, Officer, Drummer and Fifer with different variations of the militia. Or from different states.

Well there's certain general characteristics described. I'm not saying "make all these models man". Key things are just knapsacks, blanket rolls, hemp ties, round hats, cocked hats, breeches, stockings, and civilian work shirts and waistcoats.

I'm adding in the new cannon model in-game that was last seen in a modelling program preview of Aleko's..
We've had problems with it's UV mapping and placement that's why you haven't seen it much, Navy's sorting it then i'll make it look cool.The cannon is repositioned after hours of fixing it up, but now it needs a new texture before I can show it. I want to show it for the preview it deserves :-X

From my standpoint adding The manual of arms will add more historical accuracy to Whigs and Tories. Another thing that would greatly impact historical accuracy would to be able to see the ramrod going down the barrel of the musket.I just have to point out to you that, you have the "Rest" order listed three times, an intriguing suggestion though.
