Server password not working in config?

I'm trying to set a password for a server in the config but it doesn't work. It says no password is on the server and I can join with no password. Is this the right command?

# Server Password:
set_server_pass cheese

Admin pass one works but idk this one just doesn't.

set_pass instead of set_server_pass

so set_pass cheese
