Dunno why, but I just watched this video of us (+ Kochi) excising at Waterloo2015.
3 Times in a row.

Ah, good day that one.

You should take note that money, while an important factor, should not be a decisive one when it comes to whether you should or not start reenacting. Yes, stuff is expensive, but for the most part (at least in my own personal experience), as long as you show interest and are friendly to the unit you want to be with, they'll lend you enough gear to get you started.

Granted, you'll have to buy the basics (pants, shirts, maybe gaiters, shoes, etc), but the "harder" things can be bought later. Things like coats, shakos, cross straps, haversacks and canteens are almost always available in most groups.

The musket part isn't that hard, either. Idk how are things done in the UK, but in Waterloo 2015 I saw several units storing a decent amount of "fake" muskets, which were distributed among those who didnt have a real gun. Perhaps some of the groups there follow that same trend, and have one of those available for you.

Ah, this mod reminds me of Battlegrounds 2 so much..

Did anyone know that BG2 got an update a while ago?

Yep, the good old days. It's sad that BG2's community turned into cancer in the last couple of years. Hopefully the 3.0 patch, which will update the game to the CSGO engine, brings the old players back.

Modifications / Re: Standing with musket animation help

Basically, it is possible to do it, but it will only work for screenshot posing. Once you try to play, the animation will look extremely weird.

Kochi was my nickname in high school. I figured I'd keep it, after so many years.

Although I go by James Koach now on Steam.

This is a small rant of mine, but I barely saw anyone dropping dead at Waterloo this year. Seriously, in my unit for example, only myself and two others dropped. Some even refused to do so when told to.

Here's two new ones from this month's events:

Spoiler
Me (right) and my new Rekrut (left). I'll be teaching that guy how to drum like a proper Spaniard.

Spoiler
This picture is weird. The two units featured here have hated each other for almost a decade, to the point in which we refused to participate in their events, and vice versa, regardless of how awesome they were. And here we are now, finally over that decade old bullshit and forming together.

Spoiler
And then there's these... people.

In my group we used a marked cartridge system. If you load a cartridge wrapped in red paper, you die next.

Or, in case of those who don't shoot (ie drummers, flag bearer, officers, etc), we just take hits when nobody else does.
