Making all the units we have always kept 500 players in mind, so it should not be impossible to get it working client side too. I have tested 500 characters in full screen the other day and I had roughly 25-30 fps, which is not too bad considering they were not optimized.

So 500 Bots are going to perform the same as 500 people?

Can we just agree that opening doors sets new cutting-edge standards when it comes to FPSs?

Ive said this before somewhere, we do not really see BCoF and WoR competing with each other. Both games offer very different gameplay. The only similarity is that they are both set in the Civil War.

You might not see them competing, but the vast majority of players are going to.  Like it or not, Youtube will be quick on the draw with the comparisons.

Like Olaf said, WoR and BCoF's devs have wildly varied ideas on how they want their game and community, so it is unlikely the two are competing for the same demographic. If you spend time on their forums you can tell the inherent differences between the communities.

For those of us not in the know about these things, what are the differences between the two communities?

I mean some games have to include that feature after release...

Some games are also functioning after 10 years.
