We are the Ikko Ikki. We are a regiment based within the Anglo-Zulu War Mod for Mount and Blade Warband. We strive to become better, bigger and closer than the other regiments around. We prioritise fun over pure discipline. Although we centralize this in our regiment, we do not approve of trolls or any other type of community damaging behaviour. We try to maintain close relations with eachother, member and leader alike. As a community we work together to have fun and get better. We support new players to the game and veterans alike. As veterans we try to assist new players to the best of our abilities while keeping our friendly atmosphere intact. This, adding to our central ideology, provides a regiment that makes us all proud to be part of.
The regiment has its origins in Japan. The Ikko Ikki, like the name suggests, originate from the Ikko Ikki clan in Japan. The Ikko Ikki are an old and well respected family. Their family was closely knit and they fought and died for eachother. We strive to keep the reputation intact through the way we treat eachother and how we behave on the battlefield. The Ikko Ikki clan came from Japan and moved to Africa. This large passage was done around 1000 AD. This was obviously an incredibly dangerous journey and a well reflected event for the family. In this same time period the Minamoto family was ruling Japan as Shogunate. The Ikko Ikki family, just like many others, were oppressed and silenced during their reign. Many of the Japanese families fled and hid on more southern Japanese islands. Yet the Ikko Ikki decided to head more south-west. During this time period the Japanese were well aware of the danger of this passage, yet they sought the reward that could be found in Africa.
They arrived in Africa and the Ikko Ikki were able to live a reasonably peacefull existence. Although welcomed with war they were able to survive on the continent. After many prosperous years on the continent the British arrived. Soon after this event tensions arose and this soon escalated into fullout war between the Ikko Ikki and the British. With the support of the many other Zulu Tribes the Ikko Ikki fought and finally prevailed over the British. Although not many records remain of their fights the Ikko Ikki gave their lives and homes for the African continent, and they sure were not going to give it up without a fight.
