The 92nd and 33rd Regiments of Foot are proud to Host our New Sunday LineBattle, taking place every Sunday from 19:00 lasting until 20:00 (UK time). The intention with this event is to offer the community a new innovative LineBattle event which keeps each regiments members in the action and out of spec! Events will involve rounds played in a scripted version of battle, whereby members of regiments will respawn on their units flag bearer with the number of times each side can continue respawning based on a ticket system. |

| Details on the New Gamemode We have created a new gamemode where players are able to respawn on their regiments flag. This opens the battlegrounds up for longer rounds, different playstyles, teamwork between regiments and more action in general. How does it work? Each team will have a X amount of tickets to spent. You take away enemy tickets by killing them and taking their flags/standards, line infantry will use up 1 ticket to respawn, light infantry 2, rifles and cavalry 4 (these may change depending on how things are going), capturing the enemies standard or colours takes away 25 tickets. When the tickets run out you will no longer be able to respawn and you'll stay dead until the end of the round. Now, how do you respawn on your units flag? In order to respawn on your regimental standard or colours it must be held by a friendly player of your unit, doesn't matter which class he is playing as. The flag must also be around 3 other friendly players (approx. 5 meters).When the flag is dropped or is not around 3 friendly units you will have to wait until it is picked up and around 3 friendlies again or until the enemy captures it. If you lose your flag to the enemy or in any other way you and your unit will respawn at the main spawn and the ensign/eagle bearer will be able to respawn with a new flag. How will the Campaign work? At the start of each week the next events conflict will be posted here, showing the attack path of 3 divisions of French or Allied troops. Each path of attack represents one server, with battle commencing at the end of the first arrow. Depending on which side wins this round will dictate whether the attackers push deeper into enemy territory (2nd arrow) or retreat back and fight on their own turf. Over the course of the week before the event, participants can choose which server they are playing in or wait to be assigned, which will be announced the day before the event. This will result in a serious shake up of the composition of each server each week, as classes will not necessarily be distributed evenly. All maps will be played using our flag-spawning game mode, but please be aware that the siege maps will therefore be largely experimental - we don't know how well this game mode will work on traditional siege maps so bear with us for the first couple of events! Marshal Massena as the newly appointed commander of the army of Portugal, prepares to move against the British and Portuguese army under Wellington, occupying territory in northern Portugal and the fortified city of Cuidad Rodrigo... At the start of each week the next events conflict will be posted here, showing the attack path of 3 divisions of French or Allied troops. Each path of attack represents one server, with battle commencing at the end of the first arrow. Depending on which side wins this round will dictate whether the attackers push deeper into enemy territory (2nd arrow) or retreat back and fight on their own turf. Over the course of the week before the event, participants can choose which server they are playing in or wait to be assigned, which will be announced the day before the event. This will result in a serious shake up of the composition of each server each week, as classes will not necessarily be distributed evenly. All maps will be played using our flag-spawning game mode, but please be aware that the siege maps will therefore be largely experimental - we don't know how well this game mode will work on traditional siege maps so bear with us for the first couple of events! Really nice event yesterday ! :DThanks mate! Something needs tweaking on the Siege-like maps to make them work properly with the flag-spawning but this is something that can be looked at over Christmas break after next week :D Even with the ticket imbalance which the attackers had to contend with on that Cuidad Rodrigo map, it looked like a really nice spin on what would usually be a run of the mill siege; I saw plenty of the attacking lines had clocked on that they could continue to put pressure on an entrance to the fort if they kept their flag well guarded nearby.
March 1810 The latest invasion of Portugal under Marshal Soult has ended in disaster, the 3rd division defeated in the field and pushed back to Madrid, the 2nd division narrowly expelled from the walls of Cuidad Rodrigo and finally with both 1st divisions fighting each other to a stalemate in the North. In March the Allies are poised for two offensives in the south and a flanking offensive through central Spain. French forces must hold their ground else they suffer the same fate as those at Bailen two years before... Just a reminder that battle will commence in each server at the end of the first arrow. May 1810 The French attacks carried out in April encountered some success, the flanks of the offensive taking ground from the Allies. 1st Division were able to secure Lugo but could not force Coruna to capitulate, with 3rd division having even better luck securing both Salamanca and the fortified city of Cuidad Rodrigo. The centre met stiff opposition however as the allies repulsed the French attack in Villa Real and even claimed the region of Leon, cutting off French troops now stationed at Lugo. French Conquests to the west however are not enough to deter the emboldened Allies, as they hope to continue their momentum from the previous month, sweeping up towards the French border... Please find below the assigned Divisions (Servers) and classes for each regiment, ensure your members only take classes assigned so that the spawning scripts function correctly. Bear in mind these have been based on the territories fought over in the first round so if classes find themselves on an undesirable map for the 2nd round (Cavalry on a fort map for example) they may swap half way through the event to any blank class on another server. Please note some classes such as Dragoons (and Lancers for France) have been re-purposed to allow for enough individual classes. If there are multiple Artillery units on one server feel free to take the same class as there are no mass respawning functions for this unit. |

End of hostilities - July 1810 With the final month of the Campaign in June, France leads it's final offensive into Portugal with mixed results; 1st and 2nd Division's attacks are met with remarkable success, threatening or outright cutting off British support via the ports of Portugal. French 3rd division however are repulsed in Cuidad Real, being forced to retreat and give up Madrid. The last 6 months of campaigning in the Peninsular has left a very uncertain outcome; territorial possession lies exactly even, with 20 territories a side and the Allies holding the most fortifications. France however have almost certainly denied the Allies of British & Portuguese aid to the west whilst resistance to the south remains strong. Thankyou to all Regiments (from both our regular attendance and waiting list) who participated in our campaign for the last 2 months! It worked exactly as intended to break-up the usual event a little and offer something new. For now the event will resume back to its normal pattern (2 servers) but thanks once again to all the regiments who participated, as listed see below We look forward to seeing the numbers of the event swell again for the next campaign!
