Events / 8th Tuesday Conquest EU Event (Temporarily Cancelled)

The 8th is now hosting our own tuesday conquest event \o/

Our event will occur weekly at 8pm GMT each tuesday provided numbers are reached

Event details will be handed out on our teamspeak server 85.236.100.27:11107 15 minutes before the event begins, for contact add [CGC]Max on steam

People may only spawn at their HOME FLAG (initial flag) and cannot move out until there are least 4 people in the group


Event Rules
1: No ramboing
2: No abusing others in chat
3: No Racism
4: No offensive language
5: Respect admins at all times
6: No talking in global chat unless you are a CO or are in charge of your men for the event
7: There may only be one sniper per team
8: Noone may shoot until they have left their home flag
9: Not a rule but avoid shooting medics, historical honor (if there are other targets)
OFFICERS MUST MAINTAIN ORDER WITH THEIR MEN IN THE LINE, INSURING THAT THEY ARE FOLLOWING THE RULES.

Unit specific rules:
Infantry
Grenadiers
1: A maximum of 2 officers are allowed in the line
1: Only 1 officer is allowed per line
2: A maximum of 3 ammo bearers are allowed per line
2: Only 2 ammo bearers allowed per line
3: Each line may only have 1 medic
3: Only 2 medics are allowed per line
4: Lines/squads must have a minimum of 4 people, or they must join another
4: May stay with an infantry line
5: NCO's may take sentry if they so wish
5: May not split into squads

6: Must have a minimum of 4 people, or join another line



Artillery
Only 1 mortar is allowed per team

8th (Service) Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment

History

8th (Service) Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment was raised at Lincoln in September 1914 as part of Kitchener's Third New Army and joined 63rd Brigade in 21st Division. The Division concentrated in the Tring area, training at Halton Park before winter necessitated a move into local billets in Tring, Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, High Wycombe and Maidenhead. In May 1915 the infantry moved to huts at Halton Park On the 9th of August they moved to Witley Camp. The 8th Lincolns proceeded to France on the 10th of September, landing at Bologne. They marched across France to going into the reserve for the British assault at Loos on the 26th of September suffering heavy casualties. In 1916 They were in action in the Battles of The Somme and on the 8th of July, transferred with 63rd Brigade to 37th Division and fought in The Battle of the Ancre. In 1917 they fought in The First Battle of the Scarpe, including the capture of Monchy-le-Preux, The Second Battle of the Scarpe and The Battle of Arleux. They were in action during the Third Battles of Ypres. In 1918 They were in action on The Somme, in the Battles of the Hindenburg Line and the Final Advance in Picardy. At the Armistice the Division was in the area of Le Quesnoy. Demobilisation began on Boxing Day and was complete by 25 March 1919.
