ez 4 liquid
Even if many people will claim this event was nowhere near relevant (which is kind of a fair point but often brought by a bunch of retarded kids) I'm still happy Liquid took it, especially in such a good fashion by beating SK and C9. Honestly considering how Steel was playing recently, I wasn't expecting anything from that line-up but they played sort of they wouldn't have any regrets and it worked.
Gonna have to keep an eye on NAF though, out of all the moves which have been made recently that's certainly one of those I had the least hype for (Really liked JDM as a player tbf) but he clearly showed up in the Grand Final and if he can keep that sort of performance on LAN (which I will still doubt until I see it happening) Liquid might have some really bright days ahead of them.
Edit : How is your CS team going btw William, didn't really followed if you posted some shit about it recently?
You might be confusing me with Alexander ; He's the closest pro-player the NW community has in CSGO. Unless you're referring to my roster change predictions, which are going almost as I predicted
Don't want to take away from Liquid winning, but that final was boring. C9 didn't look like they were trying to win, just going with the motion. A lot of solo pub style plays vs team style pub plays in the major. Bad utility use too.
Liquid will probably get to 6-7th spot over the year with this line up, but I expect better showing from C9 at the next tournament.
What surprised me the most is that this is their first tournament win. I didn't realize how often they got top 4 or top 2 but never actually got a win.
To address your pub style play: Pub play is hard to counter which is why it's so effective. No one expects what you're going to do ; ie, Gabriel 'Brazilian Supremacist' Toledo and Finn 'Karrigan' Andersen who value themselves as great counterstraters.
