A very mysterious mystery.
« on: February 08, 2014, 12:17:41 am »
So I have two PC's that are EXACTLY the same.

However one plays NW with 40fps, in medium graphics.
Whereas the other one plays NW with 10-25fps, lowest graphics plus a really low resolution.

I will just reiterate, the PCs are exactly the same. In every way shape of form (except the colour)

Help *in need somebody* help *not just anybody* . . . etc.

Age?
Faulty drivers?
Viruses?
Pesky SVCHost?

You name it there could be plenty of things wrong with your PC
What CPU and Memory readings are you getting whilst running on the laggy PC?
(You can find it in task manager under performance)

Your issue might be a background program that is eating up your CPU, try going to your processes as sort by CPU to see if a program is using a lot of your CPU.

It seems that your CPU is overloading whilst playing. This can be due to numerous things. Like you said they are 6 years old which is very old by PC terms. You could even have a blocked vent in your CPU cooler.

I think the best thing to do is to take it to a PC specialist and have it checked.

Since that's been solved, I'm gonna bring some crappy humour into dis thread.

Has the faster one got red racing stripes? Or speed holes?

That's me done for the night, ladies and gents.
