Regiments / ☠ 1. Leib Husaren Regiment "Totenkopfhusaren"
« on: May 13, 2022, 11:23:33 pm »

This regiment is a member of the IV. Armeekorps

Regiment Information

Who we are
Many of us have played since the DLC released and earlier, and in this time
lines have become more and more flavorless to us. As a resolution to the stagnant
gameplay we are all used to we have decided it high time we left the Infantry perspective
and gave the much neglected(NA that is) Cavalry position the attention it deserves with a
new Cavalry unit made up of community veterans dedicated to becoming the best at what
they do. We hope to bring some balance to North American cavalry but most of all have a
great time playing the game in a fresh new way.
10 year old outdated lore, under renovation

If you're interested in joining, or wish to inquire more about the regiment
then feel free to add me on Steam, or message me here on the forums.

Brief summary
In 1808, Husaren Regiment von Prittwitz being the only full strength hussar
regiment left in Prussia was split into the 1. and 2. Leib Husaren regiments.
The 1. Leib Husaren Regiment was an elite semi-guard status regiment for
Prussia despite never actually being in the garde itself along with its sister
regiment the 2. Leib Husaren Regiment. A few note worthy moments with
the Totenkopfhusaren include capturing the eagle of the 55e, and routing
Napoleons personal guard the Chasseurs à Cheval de la Garde Impériale.

The 1. Leib Husaren Regiment participated in a record number of engagements: 66 total.

Regiments (Game Clans) / 10th Tennessee Infantry "Sons of Erin"
« on: February 22, 2022, 03:46:19 am »

The 10th originated in Mount and Musket back in 2011 as the 10te Prussian infantry regiment, we played the mod N&S off and on over the course of a few years but not really with much solidarity until now. As a regiment we strive for excellence on the battlefield and more than anything else enjoyment of the game. If you'd be interested in joining us add ibsocal on steam.

The 10th is a NA based regiment with 2 companies of Line and Light averaging 30+ members an event. We look forward to adding a 3rd company in the not so distant future if time/commitment permits it.

The 10th Tennessee Infantry was organized at Fort Henry, on the Tennessee River, in May of 1861, just a few weeks after the first shot was fired at Fort Sumpter. The Colonel of the regiment was a Prussian named Adolphus Heiman, who would after his death be replaced by Lieutenant Colonel Randal W. McGavock as Colonel.

On July 1861, the Tenth Tennessee Regiment of Volunteers with 720 men armed with flintlock musket rifles were mustered into the Confederate Army. Garrisoned at Fort Henry until February 1862, they left there after Federal bombardment to Fort Donelson. On February 13, 1862 Federal forces attacked Fort Donelson, three days later the Fort surrendered. The Tenth endured many loses, the field and staff officers who survived were captured and sent to Fort Warren; the non-commissioned officers and privates were sent to Camp Chase and Camp Douglas, Illinois. Officers and enlisted men were exchanged and paroled and sent down to Vicksburg, from there they transported by railway and reorganized in Clinton, Mississippi. The men of the 10th Tennessee were gallantly involved in such battles as Raymond, Mississippi, Chickamauga, Georgia, Missionary Ridge, Tennessee, Rocky Face Ridge, Resaca, Atlanta, Georgia.

The 10th was one of only two Irish Catholic regiments in the Confederate Army, although their elected officers were mostly Ulster-Scots Protestants.

They built Forts Henry and Donelson and then were captured and held in Camp Douglas Prison. Reconstituted, the 10th were deployed as sharpshooters through the tough campaigns at Chickamauga, Chattanooga and Atlanta.

The Regimental flag originally belonged to Company 'D' of the Tennessee Home Guards (State Militia). It was outlined in Kelly Green on a light green background. A gold harp, maroon trim with white lettering; above the harp, "Sons of Erin"; below the harp "Where glory await you".

The unlucky 10th Tennessee Infantry was organized in 1861, just a few weeks after the first shot was fired at Fort Sumpter. The "Sons of Erin's" motto was "Go where Glory Waits You." At the fighting at Fort Donelson the 10th Tennessee suffered severe losses and earned the nickname of "The Bloody Tenth." After the surrender of Fort Donelson, the field and staff officers were taken as prisoners of war, moved to Fort Warren and Camp Douglas where they received cruel treatment, but were eventually exchanged in 1862. The reunited 10th Brigade was then ordered to Vicksburg where they suffered another bloody defeat at the Battle of Chickasaw Bayou. They continued to fight for the losing cause until the end of the war. There were less than 100 men left in the 10th Tennessee Infantry at the closing of the war, and every one of them had been wounded, many times.

The 10th is more then happy to have new players join it's ranks, all we ask of you is to listen and take in what we teach you, enthusiasm goes along way.

And @Xethos you’re right about the self sabotage in the cav community. When I was CR I tried to get more competitive events happening with Cav, but the amount of infighting and toxicity was unreal, especially from some of the big leaders. If cav had even tried to make a competitive scene I’d argue for their inclusion into the awards but it was a crazy amount of effort to even make one league work, even with a whole new cav reg comprised of just infantry

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! I wish I coulda seen the aforementioned toxicity first hand because if it was anything like the old 1LH/PLG rivalry its pretty hilarious to look back on, granted we purposefully tried to stay out of any true drama as much as we could but id say from the lens of our guys looking at the rest of the cav community it was mostly just bullshitting with each other all around and not really any real animosity although I do recall some people having issues with each other but I never considered that very representative of their regiments overall dispositions towards each other, certainly nothing that would stop members from taking part in tournaments at the least.

What time period were you CR and pushing for events though Theo? was this during the time I was pushing for a competitive cav sub board? I just personally dont remember who it was at that time, but I do remember trying to spring board us further into public eye after the most successful string of cav tournaments by year ever in 2017 that I got denied. It is unfortunate that not as much of the public was aware as I would have liked that there was multiple large tournaments every week for cav 2v2s and sword 1v1s that the 1LH/PLG were hosting for years, eventually we joined the two together to make much larger brackets. The problem was that by the eye test nobody in large was interested in cav tournies so the easiest way to find yourself invited to them was to spend time in NA Cav groupfighting which routinely 2-4 times a week would be locked for tournies in which randoms would be notified were about to happen and in the case of our tournies often invited to them.

Overall I think I had a good relationship with pretty much every cav reg by the time we stopped regularly playing in mid 2019.. which also is apparently far back enough that people dont remember you for dominating pretty much every event multiple days a week that you went to for the previous 4-5 years, I do realize however this is partly my fault for not being buds with many of the newer regs/guys that popped up after the old guard were all retiring so it would be accurate to say our PR was lacking but it still sucks to see nonetheless.. If only I bumped their threads with memes like everyone else

P.S. - 1LH best competitive and pub cav all time for NA, also im still the reigning King of NA1 since Maple never returned with his army to rechallenge for the throne again.

I was the real king of US_1 the fact that u called it NA_1 means ur a new gen noob  :-*
I have no idea how many people are still around that were playing in 2012 but I just assume its not enough for me to use its true name anymore. You can be king of US1 if you want though, ill keep the NA1 kingship since its got lore behind it. Who knows maybe we can even form some sort of union with our kingdoms  ???

haters are not gonna vote out of spite
Honestly even I was annoyed by how often people tried to break into circle jerks about 63e when you guys came to our events back in like 15/16 or whenever you brought like 100-120 guys. I always enjoyed having you guys in our events since you never really broke rules or were rowdy and it was fun watching your cavalry/other specs start to improve over time against our IV korps. What a boring and uninspired train of thought that im sure all those players came up with themselves and didnt repeat to fit in with others, also that shit wasnt even relevant to our line battles and it would still come up in there lol. Either way though most people taking part in the forums are gonna speak from the more niche yet vocal competitive side of your history so my word only goes as far as having enjoyed you guys in our events in the public setting of the community for what thats worth.

P.S. - 1LH best competitive and pub cav all time for NA, also im still the reigning King of NA1 since Maple never returned with his army to rechallenge for the throne again.

Competitive NA Events/Tournaments / Re: NA Region Wars

Spoiler
good luck its been a while since this happened last and I think Pacific won
only cuz NE didn't know there were playoffs

Pls make sure anyone but pickle is the captain so we can actually show up to the playoffs this time
we still won regular season lil boy and I was only captain cuz Nico dipped out after the first match or so

This is blatantly not true

Pacific won every game they played but NE did have an issue with organization

I still blame Apoc for scheduling the gf vs pacific and doing it on a day where 3-5 of the best players in the south couldn't be there.

You were the only one missing from team SE

GL with the tournament

Edit: nvm apparently my memory is shit

Pacific Volleyball squad was for sure the most organized and best team though

Been a long time, but if I remember correctly it was me, skinny (better back then), tammo, and some others.

Skinny and Tammo were there.
I thought they weren't. Well they were missing me and I was the true xfactor.
Truth is the game was rigged from the start since Pacific had me  8)

Im just saying is this game is like a week or two of no events removed from being left in the past until the clingers move on.. not that id ever suggest pulling the plug by boycotting hosting your events or anything.. that would be just so terrible, why would anyone want to stop volunteering their time for this grateful community? what would everyone even do with all their free time? just terrible really, couldnt even imagine it.

..anyway good luck, hope you guys figure it all out!

My event rules were best event rules, imagine  actually catering to rogue leaders who try to hold their reg numbers over you and attempt to bypass discussion..

As I've always said, coming in last place in league 1>winning league 2.
Agreed, not to mention in S6 NANWL people were refusing to play their regiments in league 1.. forcing the regs that rightfully should have been in league 2 to take their place and step up to much higher competition just so they didn't have to take all those possible L's.

we 1v1d 63e in League a few years back, might as well have ff@20 vs us (undefeated league nw champs(official(not really, but kinda yes really))) ::)

1v1 me in Duck game tho >:(
