Just some clarifications:
- Mocking people because they claim that some players were cheating despite having won against said 'potential' cheaters is utterly stupid. People doing that are likely to be the same commenting with 'lol u are salty cause u lost' if the situation had reversed. I don't want cheaters in my tournament regardless if they stand at the bottom or at the top of their respective division and big news for you, you can cheat and still lose, it doesn't mean that these claims shouldn't be looked at. That sort of comments, along with other stupid stuff, brings nothing to the actual conversation.
- As a referee, you are supposed to always observe a neutral standpoint and try as much as possible to not let the on-going events affect you. I have been referring countless matches on different modules and I know it's easier said than done though. I don't doubt your unbiased referring of that match Cameron but when your conclusion post literally mention that you are absolutely convinced 70%+ of a regiment is cheating, you can't demand from these people that they sit quietly and don't react to your accusations. I'm glad my referees take cheating issues as seriously as possible cause yes, it is a disease in any competitive online gaming community but I'm not one to ban someone (let alone a full regiment) simply because certain people think they are cheating.
- Which brings me to my third and last point. Your word is not enough. Your firm conviction is not enough. Bringing your friends to back-up your claim is not enough. Only through providing lengthy and situational evidence will you have a chance at making actual cheaters banned for good. If I had received an euro every time someone had claimed being 100% sure a player was cheating while it was in fact either an overaction due to being salty, a clear lack of knowledge about cheating or simply an incorrect statement (because lets be honest, none of you are actual cheats experts despite what you may think), I would be rich enough to turn this community in an actual professional scene, with LANs tournaments for the next decade. But here I am, willing to go through hours of recording if necessary, only to make sure the integrity of my tournament is preserved. It's now up to you to help us do that. Or you can just whine in a corner and hope things will change on their own, that's also an option.
Either way, at any point, trying to take a step back and looking at the situation from an unbiased, neutral perspective, will always result in a greater argument/conversation. It won't always change your point of view obviously, but it makes it easier to discuss with anybody, about anything.
